1976 Chevrolet Blazer Cheyenne Description
Here for sale is an excellent example of a 1976 Chevy Blazer factory 2WD.This was imported to the UK in October 2015
Please don't be suspicious of this listing due to it being from the UK. This is a genuine sale and with the way the £ has fallen against the $ (due to the fantastic Brexit recently), this has made it just as affordable to be shipped back across the pond!I am a car restorer by trade and you can view many more pictures and details on my website www.kustomrestoworks.co.uk and click on the Cars For Sale button
Since it's arrival into the UK, we have bought this up to the UK Ministry Of Transport roadworthiness specifications, I.E. a UK MOT, which covers all aspects of safety and condition of the vehicle. Basically, if this vehicle was a danger to the roads over here, it wouldn't be allowed to be used on the road.
Some of the parts that we have replaced, consist of........
- New front springs (due to being a bit too low) from CPP
- New balljoint dust covers
- New power steering box and coupling (ordered from Rock Auto)
- Engine tune up
- New E brake cables
- New gear selector bushes
- New battery tray
- New windshield washer bottle and pump
- All new dash bulbs
- New interior light covers
- New E brake handle
- New colour matched seat belts
- New lock set, doors and ign on 1 key
- New UK spec H4 headlamps with built in side lights (Original US spec sealed beam lamps still with the vehicle)
- LED reverse light, original reverse lights are now the indicators (easily reverted back to red indicators in the tail light)
- New window winder handles and window scrapers, inner and outer
- New rear window scrapers, inner and outer and new roof to cab rubbers
It also has the additional parts that were fitted to the vehicle prior to the arrival into the UK
- 22 inch & 20 inch Coy’s alloy wheels with excellent tyres
- Recent dropped spindles and front & rear springs from CPP (not cut springs & lowering blocks like a lot of vehicles)
- Recent Front discs, calipers, front and rear flexi pipes, master cylinder, stainless brake pipes, rear drums and brakes all from CPP
- New rear lights and front marker lights
- Wood rim steering wheel
It was ordered as a factory 2WD (which is fairly rare now) with the 350ci 5.7ltr V8 engine with the HEi ignition system, 350 trans. It also benefitsfrom a 12 bolt rear end .Also on the order/option list are the desirable custom bucket seats, center console and Cheyenne package. It has heat and air which both work (although the a/c could do with re-gassing, R12 is illegal in the UK)As you can see, there has been a lot of money spent on getting this Blazer to the condition it is now in.
It comes with the original bill of sale, data sheet, warranty card, service schedule and owners handbook.
The bodywork is in exceptional condition, it has been professionally painted in Satin black and still showsthe original panels. The panels are very straight and dent free. It is also rust free and there is no filler on the bodywork, so there is nothing to hide.Everything is working how it should, from the dash lights to interior lights, lift up passenger seat and the original tailgate glass which winds up and down smoothly. The roof comes off easily for an open air experience and the drive is very comfortable and smooth. It is everything you would expect from a car like this.
This is the perfect 4 seater pickup/suv/fun vehicle
Please note, this is a fairly rare factory 2WD and not a converted 4X4
It was MOT’d on the 6th July 2016 and passed without issue. The vehicleis now registered and ready to go.
I have personally driven over 400 miles to various shows and it has not missed a beat. It has sat in traffic without overheating or losing any coolant whatsoever.
I have the full V5 (UK registration document) in my name and a copy can be emailed to any serious buyer.
Due to the British weather now being winter, this will no longer be driven on our roads and will be stored in my workshop to keep it out of any bad weather. I will be regularly starting it and keeping the battery charged to make sure it is looked after properly.
The listed price includes shipping to ANY mainland US port accessiblefrom the UK ports. It will also be certified steam cleaned which is required by US Import Law
The shipping company I will use is Kingstown Shipping based in the UK, they can verify the vehicle was imported to the UK (Southampton Docks) in October 2015 and purchased by myself (Tim Billings). I also have a contact in AZ who can verify who I am (contact details upon request)
