1966 Chevrolet Impala SUPERSPORT Description

SANTA JUST SHOWED UP IN HIS SHINY NEW RED SLED! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Give her the dream car of a lifetime. A1966 Chevrolet Impala ss 396 convertible. This is a survivor car that I picked up in trade three years ago. I am a car dealer, and was led to the shed, where this car was stored by a widow. See pics. Car was blue. Husband bought the car out of Alaska, had it shipped down to Mccammon, Idaho and passed away shortly after. The Impala sat in the widows' U-haul storage for 13 years. She bought a car for her grandson from me, and used this as a trade. I was already knee deep in impalas, 64,65,59, but thought what the hey? Go for it. Put the top back! But 60 days of summer here does not cut it.2 pics are of us pulling it out of the shed. So we started with stripping the car, every part was in the car. Nothing has been added. These are all original parts. What a pretty car. Body side mouldings, top, tires, wheels, top pumps, top motor, window rubber, all rubber is new. We have receipts with list of parts if you like. Took the engine to a performance shop and decked the block(which is original to match build date) honed the cylinders and purchased bigger pistons, crank, stronger springs, edelbrock manifold, 750 cfm edelbrock carb, crank, steel, re-done and balanced. Same factory heads with stiffer springs, k-line intake sleeves on heads, and put together at the speed shop, then broke in with Joe Gibbs zink break in oil. We use only Joe Gibbs racing oil in this heart pounding 396 turbo fire BIG BLOCK. Then I dressed it up with some goodies from summit racing. Oh, Crane cam as well. Powerglide 3 speed transmission just rebuilt and installed(original). All new wheel cylinders, drums, pads, all hardware around wheels. Drives like a real machine, stops on a dime...and gives you 9 cents change. Driveline rebuilt and balanced. Tip- to -Tail New Dual Exhaust with Magna Flow Mufflers and Dual chrome tips. Very classy, Yet rattles your bones when your into her. American Racing Wheels basic, stock tire, New bushings, shocks, trans lines, brake lines, sway bar links. Holds the road very strong. I took everything out of the interior and replaced with new carpet, pad, and sound deadener, seats re-upholstered, new top, top well liner, tack strips, header, you name it. new heater core, radiator, hoses. Dash removed, painte, polished and put back with a tilt column from a 65 I had laying around. Center console redone and painted and polished by me. New retro-classic radio with aux cord and speakers front and back/notice IMPALA speaker. Hard glass back window. Manifold pressure gauge and others were a killer option and set this look off better than any I've seen. Look at the way it flows from the center console under the heater/fan control instead of disappearing into the void like other impalas without that option, they are close but no-cigar! I am available to answer questions once a day if you leave them in my in box. Too many horses in the stable, 5 kids 4 still home. Help me send them to college. Please enjoy the pics, be kind, and God Bless America! Baseball, Hotdogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet! The Heartbeat of America! Let us move forward; "back in a time" when hard working DETROIT MUSCLE BUILDERS built these cars to last, and put these cars out one by one, by the sweat of their brow! This car is listed on other sites, and at my dealership. I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime. thx for looking. Roger Sheehy owner Sunnyside Automotive. ps i can help arrange transport if you are new at this as needed
