1960 Chevrolet Suburban Description
I purchased this vehicle in 1997. It was pretty much in the same condition as shown in these photos. The engine and transmission were installed, but were not hooked-up. Got it home, wired it up, and it ran and drove great for the couple years I drove it regularly.
I did not have the time to restore it the way I wanted to and lost interest about 15 years ago. Drove it to the spot that you see, shut it off, and here it is...in the fall of 2016.
The 350 cu in Chevy ran strong and the Turbo 350 transmission was the best shifting automatic transmission I have ever experienced...very smooth. As I mentioned, the engine was not fully installed when I purchased it, so the miles or hours of the engine and transmission are undetermined.
The body is in fair condition considering it's age and the time that it sat and is still has a very solid foundation. The mice made lunch out of the seats. It would look much better after a good bath. It is sitting on a set of four matching aluminum rims.
I have a spare door and sliding glass side window. The vehicle is sold "as is" with no guarantees.
Buyer must provide towing or flatbed options at their additional cost.
