1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 210 Description

You are looking at my 1955 Chevy 210 2 door sedan. This car was fully restored in 2013-2015. It has a completely re-built 350 V8 and a 4 speed manual transmission. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The pictures do not do the car justice, it is much nicer in person. The body is super straight, and gap-ed very well. The paint is beautiful, and shines like new. The interior is 100% re-done and looks perfect. All of the stainless steel and chrome has been re-done and is perfect. There is no rust or rot on this car, the frame, floors, inner and outer rockers, are rust free!
The engine is a 350 010 block, 4 bolt main. It was bored .030 over and has TRW forged pistons. The crank was polished, rods were re-sized, and the full rotating assembly was balanced. The block was also hot tanked, new cam bearings and freeze plugs. It has a Comp Cams Xtreme Energy camshaft and lifter kit, and a Comp Cams double roller timing chain. Also has Melling high volume oil pump, Fel Pro gaskets, has brand new Patriot high performance aluminum cylinder heads with 2.02/ 1.60 valves, Comp roller rockers, hardened push rods and guide plates, show polished high rise intake manifold, new Holley 750 dual feed carb, was converted to electronic ignition with a new billet HEI distributor, MSD coil, polished valve covers, K&N air filter, Holley fuel pump, ceramic coated Hooker headers, was updated to new style GM internally regulated chrome alternator, with serpentine drive set-up and pulleys from late model Camaro, has polished water pump, and heavy duty full polished aluminum radiator, with shroud and high performance mechanical fan. Engine wiring harness is new also. It has brand new 3" custom dual exhaust with Flowmaster 44 series mufflers, it sounds incredible with a deep mellow rumble. The comp cam sounds awesome at idle! Not too radical, just really tough sounding. The engine and engine compartment are spotless and neat, as you can see in the pics.
The drivetrain consists of a Zoom high performance clutch, with a 4 speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. The driveshaft was re-done with all new u joints and it was speed balanced. The rear end was re-built and has 3.08 gears for highway cruising. This car was built to drive. It has all new suspension bushings front to back, all new shocks, springs, new body bushings, everything is new. It has a high performance Addco front sway bar to help the car drive more like a modern car. It also has a full power disc brake conversion, with chrome booster and dual circuit master cylinder, with all new stainless steel brake lines, new hoses, and all new rear brakes. All new fuel lines and fuel sending unit also. The wheels are brand new polished American Racing Torque Thrust II's, 17's in the front and 18's in the back, with all new high performance radial tires, for that resto-mod look. The wheels and tires are perfect, and the stance is just right!
The interior is drop dead gorgeous. The seats were all re-done in black high quality vinyl, door panels and arm rests are new, all the glass is new, the dash was professionally painted and shines like a mirror, all of the trim on the dash is new and gorgeous, all gauges and chrome in dash is also new, new Grant GT steering wheel, new retro tachometer and oil and water gauges, new radio with i-pod hook up and new 6X9 speakers in rear package tray. New mint headliner, carpets, kick panels, etc, etc. The interior is absolutely awesome, and needs to be seen.
The body and paint on the car is beautiful. It is super straight, and everything lines up well. The doors close properly, the trunk opens and closes properly. Inside the trunk is super clean, no rust anywhere, nice new trunk mat, and the battery was properly re-located to the trunk. The paint is professional base coat, clear coat, and was rubbed out nicely. It shines like new and looks better in person than the pics show. It has a couple very minor flaws and chips from driving, but absolutely nothing major, it is clean and pretty. The stainless steel trim and the chrome on the car is to die for, it is all redone and perfect, and shines like crazy, with no dings or damage. It is in amazing shape for a 61 year old car.
The car has less than 10,000 miles since restoration. It fires right up and runs amazing, that aluminum headed 355 has tons of power, pulls like a freight train, and sounds incredible. It does not run hot, smoke, or burn oil, and the oil pressure is very high. The 4 speed shifts like an absolute dream, and the clutch is smooth and light. It drives great with no noises or issues. The exhaust sounds amazing, and is not too loud. If you are looking for a turn key, resto mod '55, then check this one out, you will not be unhappy with this beautiful 55.
