1982 El Camino SS
1982 Chevrolet El Camino ss Description
Hot rod almost ready for the show!
This is my personal car that has been restored little by little over the last 15 years. Paint and body work was done last winter. This car is garage kept and rarely driven. The body has no rust and is straight as an arrow. I wanted to make a show car butunfortunatelyI cant afford that now. I will give as much information as I can as to what has been done and what may still be needed below.
great looking body and paint (mustang Lava red)305 engine is about 10 years old and still runs strong700r4 transmission and drive shaft was taken from a 92 Camaro(the original transmission was a 350 turbo which was a 3 speed auto)all new dual exhaust with headers and flow master mufflersholley race carb with electric fuel pumpleather bucket seats from a early 2000 trans am (still look great)bed coverboss 18inch wheels with dunlap tires still have plenty of thread (again the car is hardly driven)Fiberglass front and rear bumpers replace the stock steel bumpers adding a modern look to this classic cruck.
Here are some thingsI had planned and other full disclosures.
Speedometer cable melted to exhaust and needs to be replacedTransmission needs a new gasket on the pan (its a small leak not a big deal)Steering link is a little loose (I have the part to fix this)The interior is dated and showing its age being 34 years old.AC has been removed, heat still works.
I would hope the buyer could take what has already been done and add to it making this a beautiful restoration. My loss will be your gain.
I am happy to show the car or answer any questions you may have. It will also be listed without reserve. Happy bidding!
There is absolutely no return or refunds offered. It is the buyer's responsibility to read all information and examine pictures before purchase.
