1968 Chevrolet C-10 Description

You are looking at my 1968 Chevy C-10 short bed pick-up truck. This truck was fully restored in 2013-2014. It is in beautiful condition inside and out. This is a turn key truck that is ready to drive and enjoy. Over $50,000 was spent making this truck look and run like this, and it shows.
This truck has a 400 horsepower small block Chevy engine, 4 bolt main block, with a 383 stroker kit, with forged pistons. The motor was completely re-done, all machine work was done by local machine shop, they bored the block .030 over, hot tanked block, new cam bearings and freeze plugs, full rotating assembly and forged pistons were balanced, stroker kit was clearanced to block, block was line bored, new Melling high volume oil pump, Comp Cams double roller timing chain, Comp Cams Extreme Energy camshaft kit with new lifters and valve springs, cylinder heads are 2.02/1.60 valves, completely re-done, full valve job, milled, valve springs were replaced to match camshaft, etc. Has hardened push rods and Comp Cams full roller rockers. Also has new Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake mainfold, new Holley 750 carb, new HEI distributor, MSD ignition wires, new Edelbrock high performance fuel pump, braided fuel lines with fuel pressure gauge at carb, Edelbrock coated valve covers, K&N air filter, Sanderson ceramic coated headers, new alternator, starter, water pump, power steering pump, new over sized radiator, new fan and fan shroud, all new hoses, belts, new heater core, etc. It has a complete new custom dual exhaust system from the headers back, with 2 chamber 40 series Flowmaster mufflers. It sounds awesome, nice and choppy at idle. The motor runs amazing, tons of torque, pulls like a freight train, has excellent oil pressure, does not run hot, and the Flowmasters sounds incredible.
It has a McLeod 11" clutch kit, and a 4 speed stick trans, with a hurst shifter. The transmission shifts amazing, super smooth, no grinding or noises. The clutch is light, with no chatter. The rear axle is a stock 12 bolt rear, with 3.08 gears. The suspension was re-done with a CCP (Classic Performance Products) full lowering kit, with drop spindles, springs, and shocks in the front, and coil springs, shocks, and trailing arms in the rear. It sits just right, nice and low, but it was done right, so it still drives correctly, and rides well. It has a full power disc brake conversion, with discs in the front, and drum in the rear. It has stainless braided brake hoses, and all new brake lines. The wheels are new chrome Smoothie's with moon caps, and all new Coker Classics wide white wall tires. Looks awesome.
The paint and body on this truck is amazing. It was a rust free truck from Tennessee when it was brought to New York. The floor pans are original and are clean, no rust or rot anywhere under this truck. It was stripped and repainted with a beautiful PPG midnight blue base coat, clear coat paint. The truck was disassembled properly, and the interior was painted base/ clear everywhere. The top of the metal roof in the cab has nicer paint than most cars I see. The dash is perfect, the insides of the doors and door jams are beautiful, the inside of the bed is unreal, everything was wet sanded and polished to perfection. The engine compartment is semi gloss black, and is mint. Even the paint on the bottom of the hood is mint. The truck is straight as an arrow, and the paint is show quality. The previous owner spent over $20,000 with the body shop, to make this truck look like this. The pics do it NO justice, it has to be seen to be appreciated. The color is a real deep midnight blue metallic, and is hard to see how nice it is in pics. All of the trim and chrome on the truck is brand new. New front grille, new front bumper, new headlight buckets, new headlights, new parking lights, new door handles, window trim, new tail lights, roll pan, you get the picture. It has an amazing wood bed kit in it, that is out of this world. Really nice, and it makes the truck. It has one or two small flaws or imperfections from being driven, but absolutely nothing major, it is beautiful inside and out.
The interior is all brand new and is perfect. Everything works, all lights and gauges, blower motor, heat, etc. It has a new Retro Sound radio with I-pod hook up in dash. It has aftermarket gauges, and a new Autometer tach. New carpets, new dash pad, new door panels, new seat, new wood steering wheel, restored gauge cluster, etc.
C-10 pick ups are really hot right now, if you are looking for a fully restored, turn key hot rod, then check this one out. It needs nothing. No leaks, no issues, get in and drive this bad boy. It looks mint, runs great, sounds amazing. It is a pisser to drive with the 383 stroker and the 4 speed! People love it every where I go with it. I will be happy to show the truck to anyone, please e-mail me and we will set it up.
