The new Z52 sport handling package which included some of the Z51. The Z52 option included a radiator boost fan, heavy duty radiator, engine oil cooler, Bilstein shock absorbers, larger 16 x 9.5 in. wheels, thicker front stabilizer bars, 13:1 steering ratio and G92 performance axle ratio 3.07:1 rear. Only 7,285 ordered. Both the Z51 and Z52 options included new structural enhancements to increase ridigidity, these enhancements were developed for the convertible and were added to coupes when Z51 or Z52 were ordered.

Only 12,662 Corvettes came with the Z52 package in 1987 out of the 30,632 built that year. The car retains the original manual and tools as it did when it left the dealership.
