1969 Chevrolet Camaro Description

I have for sale my Factory equipped JL8, X77, 1969 Lemans blue Z/28. Frame off restoration finished in 2007 and hasn't had more than 300 miles on it since. It is a beautiful car, I restored it to keep forever, not to be sold. But things have changed and its for sale. This is a true original, matching number, date coded JL8 Z28.It has never been owned outside of Franklin County Missouri since new.
THIS CAR IS A FACTORY EQUIPPED JL8 BRAKE Z/28
THERE IS NO BUILD SHEET, WINDOW STICKER, OR PROTECTO PLATE.
Before anyone freaks out about the lack of paperwork let me say this. I have watched every auction on tv and ebay and see cars that are advertised Factory JL8 cars that were "well documented" that were obviously fakes due to production dates. The JL8 option was only available from the factory from Feb 69 to May of 69. any car made before or after these dates is either a service package rea, or a bogus paperwork fake.
You also see cars advertised as factor, one of 206 produced, and it has a 2 piece brake line and a pressure valve on the frame. FACTORY Jl8 cars have a one piece brake line, no proportion valve and no pressure valve. .
Also many people associate Jl8 cars with the cross ram setup. The crossram was a dealer parts counter item, Never a factory equipped option, never shipped in trunk from factory as legend has it .
HISTORY
This JL8 was first purchased by original owner on 4/21/69. My uncle bought it in 1/25/72. My uncle sold it 4/27/76. My uncle bought it back from the guy he sold it to 7/10/96. I bought it 11/11/2002. All of this is documented by a Missouri title search.
This car was purchased at FEESE GEORGE CHEVROLET in SULLIVAN MISSOURI. As Documented by the NCRS. I have talked to the original owner from Gerald Mo who special ordered the car, and the only reason it has the JL8 package was due to a salesman error checking the 4 wheel disc box on the order. He originally refuse to pay the extra $600 but the dealership offered to cut the price to $300 so he took it,
My uncle from Union Mo bought the car when he was a senior in high school. He drove it as a daily driver then made a race car out of it, but it was basically a stock car with slicks, bigger carb, aftermarket intake, off road white sheet ca, headers, line loc, cool ca, dual point ignition etc. He raced it with a completely different rear end with some 5 series gear. He actually set a world record in his class AHRA in Pevely Mo. on 6/1/74 . 1/8 mile .class 2m. 8,39 E.T,85.96 MPH.
My uncle sold the car to a man in New Haven Mo who was a z/28 enthusias, he had owned several of them. He heard about the car from a mutual friend of his and my uncles. He wanted the car specifically because of the four wheel brake package. He acquired many NOS parts when they werre available form GM with the intention of restoring the car. He never did.
The car was well known around this area. Many people tried to buy it, and it was never for sale. When it did come up for sale my uncle was lucky enough to hear it before anyone else and bought it. It still had his name and lettering on the car. It had sat in a garage all that time, roughly 20 years, basically just like he sold it.
My uncle was going to restore the car also, then lost interest. He offered me the car after hounding him for years and I restored it.Many of the original parts were in the attic of my grandmothers garage all those years, like the rally wheels, valve cover, and intake.
In 2007 the 5 year restoration was completed .It won an outstanding award at Super Chevy in Kansas City Mo that year, and won best of show stock classes and best paint stock awards and class trophys at local shows. Then I took a job where I work most weekends and the car just sits.
The car runs good on a fresh tune. I dont like the way it drives with the reproduction bias tires, and reproduction shocks. Some performance radials and good shocks would be the way to go if you would want to drive it and enjoy it.
I looked into getting the car certified, but didnt.I just could not pay for something I already know for 100% positive. I would allow someone to have an expert look at it before they buy it and I will guarantee what I say to be fact.
Please note, There are replacement parts and reproduction parts along with original and NOS parts.
I will and can answer any and all specific questions, but please, I dont need your 2 cents worth/ opinion on anything.I know X77 cars didnt have style trim, I added hoo, spoiler, and trim because I like it, and can be easily changed back. If you cant afford to change it back, you cant afford to buy this car.
Ive seen factory JL8 rears on ebay for around $20,000 alone. Ive seen factory front brake parts are around $4000-$8000
This is a manual stee, clear glass, flat hood, no spoiler,AM radio,no style trim car originally.
This car has only had 4 different owners since new, (my uncle twice)
Have complete title history/ documentation from state of Missouri from new to present
