Barn Find, 1966 Chevy Impala Convertible: This car has been in Barn storage, 12 to 15 years. Here iswhat I can tell you about the Convertible. 1966 Impala 327 flags on the front fenders, the motor is in the engine compartment, but not bolted down. appears to be correct engine, double hump heads, and 2 speed power glide. The 4 barrelintake, heads, and most all engine parts are in the trunk, only thing I didn't see, was a starter. There is a transmission rebuild kit in the trunk also. The seats, and the rest of the interior, appear in good shape, except for the dirtiness. There doesn't appear to be anything missing, the glove compartment door, was on the floor. The body of the impala looks as though, you could put a motor and trans in it, and drive it, there is some rust bubbles down low, behind the front fender, and behind the rear wheels, but no major holes, I could see anywhere. Looks as all the chrome is with the car, except a passenger side quarter molding. The convertible top, is in very useable condition, no major holes, just one loose spot by the back window, not noticeable, in the pictures. The floors, and trunk appear very solid, no holes, I could see. All the glass was in the car, and appeared good also. Please check out the pictures, if you need more, or have questions, please mail me. If you are in the area, and would like to check the car out, the car is located in Galena IL.
