1970 Chevrolet Impala Convertible
I'm told this is only a Two owner car,, The last owner had the vehicle aprox 15 years and did a Beautiful job maintaining it's originality.
We are a small dealer in Connecticut that occasionally comes across some very nice vintage vehicles.
Someone is really going to enjoy this car. Starting out life as a grey car it was changed over to todays red. This has to be one of the nicest more original impala Convertibles left out there today !!!!!!!
Only one repaint about 20 years ago and what an UNBELIVEABLE job they did ! If I wasn't told the car was repainted I might have thought the paint was original it was done so nicely and I might ad still today has a beautiful deep shine with only minor aging (patina) showing in a few small areas.
This car is also a very straight car when looking down the sides.
Original chrome that's also BEAUTIFUL 47 year old "GM" chrome.
I'm also told the car is all Original sheetmetal and has NEVER had any rot repair !
The underside of the car is VERY VERY Nice !
The trunk still has the original trunk spatter . It could stand some touching up under the mat but figured i'd let someone else decide weather or not to do it or leave it original .
The interior is all ORIGINAL from seats to dash, top to bottom showingjust some minor fading from age.
This is a very dry car with a super solid undercarriage !
The underside shows 47 year old undercoating. With some black painton the floors the car would look new underneath !
I am told the drivetrain is also the original and functions Beautifully. A 350 V8 with a 3 speed automatic transmission that shifts excellent. I didn't look to check any numbers but feel free to come and check for yourself if it is important to you. The motor runs nice and smooth and quiet with no knocking at all. Air conditioning that can't be properly tested right now because it's cold here in Connecticut so the A/C blows out cold anyway. Power Steering and Power drum brakes along with a nice working Powerconvertible top. The last owner told me back when he bought the car he took the body off the frame so he could clean and paint the frame and replace any old suspension and cooling system parts necessary. He also told me the car was used every summer that he had it and that the car was very dependable for him.
Everything inside the car looks to work well like wipers, horn, factory am-fm radio and believe it or not the automatic choke works properly on cold start ups.
I have personally driven this ragtop and it is a real pleasure to drive such a time capsule !
All in all a fun car but not a 50,000.00 dollar flawless museum piece,Feel free to ask questions before bidding,, Not after....
For ownership transfer connecticut uses the registration and title as one. also along withtitlepaperworkwill be our company paperwork andBill of Sale The miles show 54,341 which i'm going to say is over with age.
