1971 Chevrolet C-10 Base Description

I have a dash pad for the truck on the way. I ordered one a week ago but they shipped me it in black not Saddle tan to match the interior.

1971 Chevy Custom Camper CST. One of the most highly optioned early Chevy trucks I've ever seen, see the SPI photo. On most early Chevys like this the cab corners and the floor boards are rusted but this one has the original body panels including the floors and cab corners and they're in great shape. Only the right front fender was replaced when it was repainted and it was replaced with an oem fender from another 1971. Has a Kenwood cd player with Pioneer 6x9 door speakers. The new paint is a custom Cobalt Pearl Blue and GM Frost white. The blue is a beautiful color that changes in hue with differences in lighting, time of day and the angle your standing. The truck has I believe the original 350 engine and th350 transmission but I don't know for sure. As clean and solid as it is underneath I wouldn't be surprised if the mileage is original. Starts very easy, runs and shifts smooth! Dual exhaust. It also has power steering and power brakes with front discs. The interior door and headliner panels are in surprisingly good shape as you can see in the photos. No tears or rips. The headliner has the typical small sag to it. The exterior trim I believe is all original and shows its age with nice character in my opinion. Since I've owned the truck I've only driven it a few times but it runs strong and drives nicely.
I bought it because of how rare it is to find a 67 to 72 with such a good body and so highly optioned with most of the parts still on the truck. As to the bad it has the typical leaky valve cover Gaskets, easy fix. The seat could use a new seat cover or stand to get an upholstery kit, either way very cheap. The steering wheel is a grant wood wheel that the clear coat is chipping and I think the horn wire is disconnected under the button. On the plus side it has a bed liner but it is a little older and has some paint spilt in spots on it. I'm sure there's some other small things that are typical for a truck it's age.
