1962 Chevrolet Corvette Description

Up for bid is a 1962 C-1 Corvette Convertible LS-9 Custom build. Winner of the 2016 "GOOD GUYS" Columbus, Ohio "Builder's Choice Award, winner of 2016 "GOOD GUYS" Pigeon Forge Top 25, and winner of the 2016 "GOOD GUY" Nashville, Tennessee, "Builder's Choice Award" This perfect stance, Fawn Beige 1962 Corvette high-tech street roadster would make an excellent addition to anyone's collection. Built by Paul Atkins and his staff at Paul Atkins Hot Rods in Hanceville, Alabama, this Resto-Mod is powered by a supercharged LS-9/638 HP engine ...governed by LS-9 Engine Controller Kit...producing 604 lb-ft of mind boggling torque. Also on board, although hidden by a custom-fabricated engine cover, is a Vintage-Air Gen IV unit with polished Streamline 3 knob control and a Sanden compressor. Exhaust duties are handled by a mandrel bent, Jet-Hot Coated 2.5 " custom built exhaust system flowing through a pair of Borla Mufflers. Engine cooling is handled by a custom 4 core Aluminum radiation and puller fan. Transmitting all the torque and horsepower is a Tremec 6-speed transmission, 3.70 nine inch Ford rear end, 4 link rear suspension. Custom Built Schott Velocity wheels, with 18's on front, 19's on the rear,and redline tires get power to the pavement. Stopping is courtesy ofCorvette C6 6 piston4 wheel disc brakes. It should also be noted that this Corvette features a full length louvered belly pan which has been powder coated to match the exterior. Special Seat Back Shells, and an Instrument pod designed by Paul allows the use of a Tilt Column, enabling a driver of6' foot 4" to get in and out of this car comfortably, and enjoy driving this car. The roomy full custom interior was also crafted by Paul Atkins in soft Lipstick red leather, with Wilton Wool carpeting, and a Stayfast soft top. The Ididit column has a hand stitched leather steering wheel, in addition to, power windows & wipers, a Clarion Bluetooth audio system, navigation, and rear back up camera. A set of custom Dakota Digital VHX analog gauges takes care of the critical engine readouts, with other safety related items such as a battery cut off switch, andbattery charging posts. There are many custom machined and fabricated parts, too numerous to mention.
