1972 Camaro SS 396
1972 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 Description
1972 Camaro SS 396. Last year for the SS and the Big block option in the Camaro until the 90's. Car has been in Texas most, if not all, its life. Has virtually no rust and drives great.
Body: Rust free as far as I can tell. Look at the pictures of the undercarriage and they tell the story. Original quarters, doors, fenders etc. Looks like the hood is the only thing that has been changed. Paint is older and is a 5 footer. Shines up nice but has some chipping and imperfections. Rear valance(under the bumper) has some damage but there is no rust soit just needs to be pulled out when and if you ever have the car painted. Dings and such associated with driving it in areas but all in all a good driver that you can park and not worry about.
Drivetrain: Car runs great and will put you back in your seat when you give it gas. Have no idea if the engine is original but it has a period correct big block. Has 4 wheel disc brakes, aluminum radiator and new American Racing wheels and tires on it. Rears are 18x10, fronts are 18x7's.
Interior: Interior is in great shape. Seats are very comfortable and have been recently recovered. All gauges work except the horn. All turn signals, lights, etc work as they should.
All in all a great car for the price. I hate using the R word but when a car is 1 of 970 built you have to useit. How many are left, you be the judge. This car will only go up in value. Clear Texas title in hand.
