1937 Chevrolet Coupe, Gasser Description

This is an extremely rare opportunity to purchase a time capsule Gasser. Only missing parts are the racing seat ans seat belts! Untouched since the early 60's, the speed equipment and craftsmanship are incredible on this car. It should be restored to it's former glory for all generations to enjoy the greatest time in Drag Racing History!
According to the paperwork that comes with the car (there is alot) The block is a 1951 Ford with a 50 Mercury crank. Jahns Pistons and a Weber Super 400 cam and springs. Johnson over length lifters and the intake valves have been lightened. It has Offenhauser 9.5:1 heads with big bore Head and intake gaskets. Fuel is handled by a Hilborn Fuel Injection system including a belt driven pump! Fuel is supplied in one of the coolest Eelco tanks I have ever seen! Not to mention the Eelco hand pump is still on the dash! Spark is provided by a Vertex Magneto (Ronco tag) which the previous owner sent to Vertex Magneto Repair in Formey Texas to go through. The motor still has the Pachard Wires and Rajah clips! Paper claims the car has a Shiefer clutch and fly wheel. I think the trans is a T-10 and the rear end is a chevy unit. I can go on and on about the cool and untouched components of this car, just take a look at the pictures. The car was not properly stored and has lower rust to deal with, but seems pretty solid over all. It is too bad that it was somehow hit recently and will require so pretty intense rear body work. With all the documentation, this car needs to be saved! Please ask questions before you bid! Deposit of $500 due at auction's end. Balance due before the car can be transported.
* Engine turns freely and the car rolls well, tires hold air....
