1964 Chevrolet Corvette Description

Here we have an incredible 1964 Corvette convertible with an excellent body and rust free frame. No soft spots in the floors and no signs of repair. The beautiful metallic silver paint shows off the arrow straight body and is enhanced with new chrome bumpers. All glass and weather stripping have been replaced along with all the red interior. All gauges and lights work properly except for the tachometer. The original points distributor was replaced with a better HEI unit which will not allow the original mechanical tach to work. We have the original distributor and chrome shield that will go with the car if you wish to have the tachometer working properly. The original AM radio has also been updated with a nice AM-FM radio. All horn, linkers, nd wipers work properly as well. The top is a new black Hartz cloth top and really makes the car stand out even with the top up. The drive train consist of a 327/300hp V8 topped with an aluminum intake, barrel carb, nd HEI distributor. When the engine was rebuilt the block was decked so we can no longer prove it is the original engine. It does however has the correct casting number (3858174) and date code. The transmission is the 4 speed manual with a Hurst shifter. The corvette runs very strong and is very quick. The engine revs quick and smooth and the transmission slides through the gears like butter. Steering is tight and it stops well with all new brakes and hardware. Very fun car to drive. The corvette sits on a new set of chrome 17" and 18" Ridler wheels but also comes with the original wheels and hubcaps wrapped in new red line radial tires. This baby is turn key ready.
