The original owner kept the car in excellent condition garage kept. I keep the car 24/7 in a heated/ac garage
with my 66 SS Chevelle. Car was repainted 8 years ago same color code. Only body marks are a very small
stress mark near right headlight. The old manifold had a crack and was leaking and went thru two rebuilt
rochester carbs before I thru in the towel and bought a new elderbrock manifold and Holly 600 cfm carb around
last Christmas. A couple of months ago I bought a new headlight switch under dash ($90). Headlights
open and close well. Engine runs very smooth and transmission shift great. The whole rear of the car was
replaced due to fatigue and wear. $$$$. The same gear ratio was replaced (336) ratio, gas mileage is good
when driving around 50-70, but mpg falls off if the tach is up around 3,000rpms.
Only reason I am selling is I am buying a 58 Corvette from a family member. I can't think of any issues
that need to be done other than change out the radio speaker. Radio still plays but speaker is bad, original.
The car handles and drives straight and true no real vibration at any speed, slight vibration around 70 mph
but goes away before and after. No leaks anywhere under the car. I have taken well care of the car and
really hate to sell, but I am after our family 58 Corvette. Only other minor problem is the hood latch by left
leg to open hood must be pushed all the way in when closing the hood. Minor adjustment every now and then.
Thanks, really is a beautiful car and get compliments every where we go and trophies at car shows.
