1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible Description

1966 Chevy Malibu ConvertableThis is a beautifully little restored 1966 Chevy Malibu convertible. It has the console with shifter and clock, black OEM type interior, nice factory door panels, correct loop pile carpet and all the correct GM seat belts. The car has "327" emblems but the engine is actually a 1970 Camaro 350 that was rebuilt at the time of restoration a few years ago. The engine is built a little over stock but runs fine on pump gas. The pictures and two videos show more details but basically the engine has a mild lopey cam, Jegs four barrel intake, HEI ignition, a Flow Master dual exhaust system with headers, nice wires and harness's that keeps the wires off the headers and nice aluminum valve covers. It has a 12 bolt 411 posi rear end. To fix the problem of low gears, A 700R4 (four speed overdrive automatic transmission) to gear it up touring. The tranny is fit with proper kick down linkage and vacume line to insure that the tranny shifts down correctly and doesn't overload overdrive. It has power steering and a standard brakes dual reservoir master cylinder with over sized 1 1/4 bore. The front end was rebuilt at time of restoration. It has disk front brakes, Cragerold school wheelsand Firestone "Indianapolis Motor Speedway" tires (like new). The electric Hydrolic power top works flawlessly. The vinyl on the roof is subtle and rear plexi glass window almost as new. The car has always been garaged since the resto.Has been used exclusively and regularly for"Fun in the Sun" show and shines etc.

There is a You Tube virtual drive and inspection video @ https://youtu.be/MTucX8jUPG0 It has "part one" and "part two"- they should be right next to each other on the geneire. Some times my Go Pro breaks one video session into more than one part without me pressing any buttons so I deal with parts one and two. You should be able to go to You Tube and type in part one 66 Malibu Convertible for Ebay auction and then part two 66 Malibu convertible for Ebay auction.

When restoration started no patch panels had to be used because all the floors, including in the trunk, were nice and solid. Southern Idaho is pretty dry so rust is not much of an issue here. The Paint is Dupont in Autumn Mist Metallic. It had all new weather stripping installed. Other nice extras include a retro style am / fm radio with original looking knobs and auxiliary port. It also has a Kenwood kick panel speaker system and factory tilt steering column and "nice" originalsteering wheel. There are no rust bubbles anywhere on the paint to the best of my knowledge. It was cut and polished when restored and is still looking pretty nice. It does have a few slight flaws and at one point the drivers door got damaged while in the garage. The auto body paint and supply shop told the owner they could mix the paint so close he could paint just the door. It should have been blended into the front fender and behind into the quarter panel a little then cleared and blended properly. Itlooks ok like it is and most people don't even notice but as nice the rest of the car is itwarrants a little expense on having a little fine tuningon that door and blending itin correctly. This small paint issue could be whisked over with camera and never mentioned, but I've been selling cars on Ebay for years now and have never had anyone have to give me a negative feedbackand I strivewith every auctionto keep it that way. Please study the pictures, watch both videos and if you have ANY questions please call me at 208-934-6001 I don't text or email outside of Ebay due to scamming and spamming. I do like to talk person to person and the messaging through the auction list is pretty safe, so please call with any questions. Thank you Harvey Time Machines Collectible Autos Eden, Idaho

On May-29-17 at 05:24:49 PDT, seller added the following information:

The vin tag is on the drivers door pillar and attached with the unique original factory "rosette" rivets. This info is in response to a question sent to me from an Ebay member. Other info that I forgot to mention is that the 12 bolt posi has the sway bar and the car received new springs front and rear at time of restoration. Any more questions from anyone feel free to ask and I will respond asp. Thanks again, Harvey
