1979 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe Description

1979 Chevy Corvette, 82k miles, rebuilt L82, rebuilt th350 automatic w/ cooler, newer paint, T-tops, leather, 3.70 rear, Edelbrock 600cfm 1406 carb, side pipes w/ headers, nicely dressed, sitting on brand new Nitto tires on polished C5 wheels (off of a 2004 Corvette).
Lots of recently replaced/maintained parts: new brakes on all four corners including calipers, a new battery, spark plugs and wires, ignition cap and rotor, steering coupler (aka rag joint), half shaft U-joints, windshield, weather strips, alternator, power steering pump, and some interior parts. Solid bird cage. Always garaged. Everywhere I go, someone always tells me how nice this car looks.
Engine and transmission were rebuilt about 3000 miles ago by the previous owner, who unfortunately died shortly after. He also painted the car this two-tone scheme with the 1980-1982 rear bumper and tail lights for some subtle personality. The leather seats are showing some wear, but still maintain their cushiony softness and beautiful sheen.
It's got brand new floor mats, a reconditioned steering wheel, brand new horn button, new HVAC unit and vents, kick panels, carpeted console panels, dome light, and Pioneer speakers in all four corners with bluetooth head unit.
The side pipes are a custom kit with Heddman full length sidepipe headers with fiberglass covers. The 4' mufflers provide a full, rich sound that is free of raspy garbled tones.
The car is almost 40 years old, so don't expect perfection. You're going to have the minor things these cars are going to have -- unless you are buying a $25k restomod, you will not find a later C3 in this price range that looks this nice! It needs nothing to enjoy the summer.
Why would I sell a car this beautiful? Because I'm buying another Corvette, and need to evict one of my toys to free up space in my 2-car garage. I'm impatient, so I'm letting it go below book. Speaking of books, I'll even include the Chilton's manual for you, a $15 value!I am located between Cleveland and Akron. I work weird hours but I'll make time for you if you're a serious buyer.
