1965 Chevrolet G20 Van sportavan Description

Hey. I have a 1965 Chevy g10 van for sale. I bought it sight unseen from Florida off a guy on eBayI was gonna take over where he left off and finish it up to use as a shop truck (kinda like the ford merch van from Fast N Loud) but I work a lot and was finding very little time to work on it. On top of that, I had surgery on my arm May 3rd and have been in a sling since, so I can't work on it at all and I don't wanna see it just sit, It's got such potential for the right person.
The good:
Motor starts right up. It's an inline 6 with 3 on the tree and currently a daily driver. The carb was rebuilt right before I got it. The exhaust is also new.
I removed the front seats and had them re-foamed and reupholstered with a high grade chocolate brown marine vinyl. They are now perfect and very comfortable and match the inside patina of the dash, dog house and doors very well. The patina on the inside is actually really nice. Just the right amount of rust mixed with the original champagne paint...
The rear cargo area is very clean. There are 2 small rot holes in the very rear corners of the floor and one more near the battery box, but none are bigger than 2" (see pics) The rest of the floor is extremely solid.
All glass is crack free and in tact. All of the cargo windows hinge open. One is a little wonky but the rest work great.
The van runs MINT. Starts right up and goes with no problem. Before getting hurt, I replaced oil, filter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. I have new brakes all around but was unable to do them because of injury. My friend is a Toyota mechanic and he has been driving the van 30 miles daily on the highway while continuing to work on the van for me. He replaced the front cab floors with new steel. Hopefully the brakes will get done by this weekend. He also lowered the ride height about 3-4". Looks much better and still drives smooth.I also just had the gas tank sealed and defumed and I put all new hoses and clamps upon reinstall. The side barn door automatic step actually works! It comes out when the door is opened to help ya get in the van.
I recently bought a set of Brand new, never used Leather rear seats from a 2012 Chevy Suburban to install in the back. They are included with sale, along with new in box driver side window regulator and new in box door arm rests.
Lastly on the good side: it's just a real cool and very rare van. Would make an awesome rat rod with a little work or could be restored to show quality if you have the time and resources.
The bad:
Although the body is straight and appears to never have been in an accident, it's definitely not perfect. Someone before me started replacing rotted areas with patch panels but I guess he ran out of steam. The body work is a little rough on these areas but def just need to be smoothed out and gone over a bit more. There are still some areas that need attention. The rear roof above the rear door looks like it was started to be repaired but not finished. Also the front passenger side drop rail area above the front door definitely needs attention but I found the piece that he was planning on using to fix it in the van.
Under the driver side door was cut away but never replaced and the passenger side was replaced but never finished.
All of the doors are fairly solid, with some of them already being roughly repaired but not finished.
Gauges don't work but speedo does. Radio powers on but there is no antenna.Driver door needs new hinge bushings, i have a full set also included in sale. Also included is a roll of weatherstripping for doors.
Basically if you know how to weld, do some basic body work, have basic mechanical skills and some free time then this van is perfect for you. They are impossible to find but very cool when on the road. My intent was to clean up n finish the body work and then give it a cool patina paint job on the outside. It's really not far off from being awesome but at this time it's just too much for me to handle while working 6 days a week and having 2 small children and now having recently undergone surgery.
You are welcomed to come look at it in person and if you have any other questions, please message me.
I'd prefer cash, but i'll accept PayPal if you add the fees. I'm open to trades for some cool things like jeeps or old pick ups mostly. But lemme know what u got!
