1957 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description

Here is a really nice 1957 Chevrolet step side pick up. It has the big window in the back! It has a Chevy 350 engine with a 700r 4 speed transmission. I recently had the car rewired by one of the best shops in Los Angeles. Now everything works as it should, except the aftermarket air conditioner, which I think will work if Freon is added (the fan works but air isnt cold). This truck runs and drives great, and is extremely reliable. It was assembled in GM's Los Angeles factory and I believe it has always been a California car since then. This is confirmed by the previous owner who owned if for over 40 years. I've looked over this car very closely and I see no signs of rust anywhere. Btw, A stereo system, amp, speakers, etc are located behind the seats, so the fuel tank was relocated to the bed.
This Truck has a very cool feature: There is a drop down mechanism for the license plate. It is on spring loaded hinges and behind it is a 2 inch receiver for a tow hitch. How cool is that? You will also notice that a kustom curved bumper fill panel is buttressed in place. Giving the back of the truck a smoother appearance.
