1984 Chevrolet C-10 Description

Nice old pick up truck. Never fails to start. It is a standard cab, rear wheel drive, automatic with 5.0 L V8 engine. The body is rough. Has new set (4) tires within about the last 500 miles. Also new starter, new gas tank. New battery when I bought it. I purchased it at an estate auction. The odometer shows 96,712 miles. Represented to be original miles at sale. I have no proof of this statement so I am saying mileage: unknown. The valve cover leaks a little oil. I have a new set inside the truck that comes with the truck. The front rotors and brake pads, calipers all look to be fairly new. I have very little first hand knowledge of the truck. It starts right off every time I try to start it. When the weather is cold outside, the transmission takes a few seconds to engage. Once you take off and it has ran for a couple of minutes it seems to run great. It may be a simple fix and maybe not. Personally, I wouldn't be afraid to jump in the truck and drive it anywhere in the country. Eventually, the transmission will need attention. As far as I know, this is the only problem. When I checked the lights, heater, wipers etc., a while back, they appeared to work fine. I am selling this truck as is with no guarantees. There is a $250.00 non refundable deposit via pay pal within 48 hours of end of auction. Balance is due in cash when the truck is picked up. One of the hub caps/wheel covers is missing. I noticed that it was missing after I had the tires replaced.

Update on the transmission. I checked the transmission fluid this morning, it was low. I added fluid and the transmission works great. I had one of my knees replaced about two weeks ago and asked my brother to check the fluid. He told me the fluid was good. I'm not sure that he didn't check the oil. He meant well but he knows very little about cars and trucks. Anyway, I looked under the truck where it had been parked for the last two or three weeks and found no puddles of fluid or other signs of leakage. Anyway, I believe the transmission to be good, just has a fluid leak. I am not physical able to get under it to see where it comes from. There isn't too many places that it can be leaking from. Possibly something as simple as an o ring, could be a seal, a line. Whatever it is, I believe I would prefer a leak over a slipping transmission. Just wanted to update what I found. Still selling the truck as is no guarantees. If you want to come by and look at it before bidding, that is fine with me. Just let me know. Thanks.
