1965 Chevrolet C-10 Description

2016 SEMA featured 1965 Chevy C10 full custom longbed pickup w/SB Chevy 350 w/700 trans. This was a full four year build almost to the day.

The truck was torn down to just 2 frame rails and we started back from there with DELMO'S SPEED building the frame and suspension, boxing the rear section, filling holes and smoothing it all out. The rear end was completely rebuilt including new axles and was also narrow to accommodate the extra wide Forgiato wheels. DELMO then installed a complete Poterbuilt suspension including Poterbuilt cross members. After built it was torn completely down again and all the frame and suspension was sent out for a high gloss powder coat. DELMO reassembled adding massive Willwood disk brakes on all four corners with hand built stainless brakes that all have been powder coated. The air system is managed by Accuair with the new FLO pumps and tank. Also all air lines are hand built stainless hard lines and powder coated to match! Custom aluminum fuel tank also completely powder coated.

The engine is a crate motor that was in the truck when I got it. We cleaned and painted the block and intake and added billet value covers and air cleaner that we powder coated black. Also added Hooker headers and a hand built custom dual exhaust. Also added custom aluminum radiator that we also powder coated black. Also has brand new Holley carb.

The metal and body work took years in itself. If you parked it next to a stock C10 you would be totally amazed at all the modifications, shaving and smoothing we did.

Started by turning a multiple part front clip into a one piece clip that we slid on. Filled and body worked all seams, resulting in a super clean and smooth front end look. Filled in hood holes and turn signal. Had to invert the hood latch cause with no holes you couldn't get to latch. Grill basically stock, just center section filled and dimple dyed 7 holes. Added custom Headlights w/built in led turn signals. Bumper is decked, narrowed, set back, and bumper bolts welded to back side then all smoothed. Look so clean! The valance below the front windshield went from 6 pieces to one. We cut out the grill part of the valance and deleted the wipers.(you'd be crazy to drive this beauty in the rain) and completely smoothed it out. The doors handles shave with remote controlled poppers. We also managed the extremely tough task of converting the side glass to one piece windows!

The bed seems and stake pockets where filled. The front corners of the bed got some custom metal and body work so when you look between bed and cab it looks super clean and smooth. The inside latch tailgate and roll pan are Mar-K that we did a little more metal work on. The inside of the bed was completely hand built aluminum so no fasteners are showing! I can't tell you how much time and work this took to accomplish, the result is an amazing super clean and smooth look. The center section of the bed is on an actuator and will raise to show and access the rear undercarriage. Rear inner bed section is boxed and when you open the tailgate there is a really cool storage compartment to keep all your cleaning supplies.

The interior was done by Armando's Custom

Upholstery In Hemet. A complete custom lowrider black leather seat, carpet and leather kick panels and panels behind rear seat. The dash was complete cut out and filled back in with one solid pieces of sheet metal then body worked to an amazing clean look, adding Classic gauges and all hidden switches. The tilt steering column and shifter are Lokar and Billet Specialties for the brake, gas pedals and door handles.
