1963 Chevy II 300, 45,000 original miles, 4-door, 6-cylinder (194 cubic inches.), original interior (except for the carpeting) automatic, power steering, power brakes. The 300 was one step below the Chevy II Nova 400. The base model was the Chevy II 100 which came with a 4-cylinder engine. This car was only driven during the summer and stored in a garage the rest of the year.
The good - The car has been upgraded to an electronic ignition. It has a new brake booster, new fuel pump, new carburetor and a new alternator. It also comes with a trunk load of parts which includes a set of 14 inch rims. Original owners manual and original Chevy service manuals. It has a stereo with a CD player. Gets about 20 miles per gallon.
The Bad - It was repainted before we bought it and the paint is peeling off in spots (mostly the hood and the roof) as shown in the photos. Headliner needs repair or replacement. It has minor rust and needs to have the seam filler replaced in the rear. The springs are starting to weaken and probably will need to be replaced in the future.
This car is very reliable and was my son's daily driver during the summer for 6 years. He has since moved out and I have stored in my garage for too long. I will deliver this car within a 50 mile radius of Chicago, IL for $1.00 per mile. Over 50 miles the buyer is responsible for transportation.
