1980 Camaro Z28 - Needs Total Restoration
1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Description
Up for bid is a 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. I have been the owner of this car for almost 15 years and it has sat in a field for most of them as I never had time to work on it. This car does not run or drive, is in terrible shape and needs a total restoration. It is being sold as-is, I've tried to describe most of the issues below. Buyer will also be responsible for moving the car to a new location.
Mechanical:The car does not run. The last time it ran was around 3 years ago, and even then it wouldn't switch into gear. Because it has been sitting for so long I didn't attempt to bring it back to life. Both the motor and transmission will probably need to be cleaned up and rebuilt. It will probably need some wiring work as well (nests).
Interior:The car interior is not in good shape. The car probably has rust issues in the floor pans and trunk. The headliner is falling, and the upholstery and paneling(floor carpet, speaker housing, seats, door panels, dash, rear quarter panels, back panels, etc.) are either falling apart or have already fallen apart. Expect the power windows, radio, and other mechanical items to need replace or repair.
Exterior:The body: It has some rust issues. In particular the trunk, hood, and driver side front fender are terrible, but there are other places as well. The lines are messed up (the hood is messed up, the door hinges are off (hence the probably floor pan issues). Most of the exterior fiberglass parts are damaged and will need pair as well. The undercarriage, chassis and wheel wells also have rust. It rides low in the back and will need shocks, struts, coils, etc. (probably both back and front)
Lights: The rear lights have some sort of moss growing on them. The front lights are missing bezels. Unsure if they work or need replaced/rewired.
Wheels: The wheels are not original. It currently has Western Uni Turbine with no mid caps. There are missing lugs and broken studs. The braking system will need repaired or replaced.
Windows: The windshield is cracked and will need to be replaced. The back glass has some weird tint issues.
As I said previously this car is a huge undertaking and will need a total restoration. It is sold as-is and there could be more wrong with the car than what I've mentioned.
I have a clean Arkansas title for the car.
If you have any questions, concerns, would like more pictures, or pictures of specific parts of the car please don't hesitate to ask.
