1984 Chevrolet El Camino Description

1984 El Camino. 427 big block, .040 overbore with 6:71 blower and two Holley 750 DP's. Dyno'd when new about 6 years ago at 750HP. All the best parts used in building the engine. Built by an Arizona man who was a machinist his entire life. Bryant 4.25 crank. Comp Cams valvetrain. Cam is .592 lift and 320 duration but is extremely street friendly W/3200 stall. Super-tight Turbo 400 trans with regular shift valve body, not manual, not reverse pattern. Has shift kit. Trans was built by Advanced Transmission in Knoxville, IA. This car drives like a normal El Camino in every way, except for the neck-snapping power. It even rides smoothly and steers with one finger. I have the steering belt off but will put it on before the end of the auction. Aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. This car never goes over 180 degrees in any conditions, yet warms up almost instantly. Never stalls when cold. It will idle immediately after a cold start. Ceramic coated headers. Electric water and fuel pumps. Ford 9" rear end with 4:11 gears. The entire underside is clean. FULL Hotchkis rear suspension pack and front sway bar. I have underside pics on another computer, so I can't load them to the auction, but I can take new pics and send them through ebay message, so just ask. Keep in mind that I may not take these pics for a couple days. This car was DONE RIGHT! The pinner rear wheels on the car are for street only. Don't expect a lot of traction with these if you plan on stepping on the gas much. The rear end has air shocks and will raise up for install of larger tire/wheel set, though the tires and wheels on the car are all I have for it. The tires are new. The brakes are like new. The car stops on a dime, as it should.

The body on the car is very straight. It was done at a body shop in Arizona and put in its final heavy primer coat prior to me buying it. The primer was so thick, it took an entire day to block sand the primer down to where the car would be its straightest. It was on very thick! A few coats of acrylic enamel gloss black was applied at a professional shop on 7-6-2017, so it is brand new. The shine is quite nice as it is, but if you want a mirror-finish gloss, it would need to be cut and buffed. In one picture, you may notice the right rear stripe has no outer red line on the left side. This is because the tape was still on it! In another pic, you can see it after I noticed this and pulled the tape off. I didn't do anything with the bed. I left it the way it is and decided to let the new owner do what they wish with it. Inside the bed is in great shape. No dings or dents.

All of the chrome on the car is perfect or near perfect. I forgot to wash the bumpers. They DO shine like new when clean and they are in flawless condition without a single ding or scratch. The bedrail trim and wheelwell trim is all perfect or near perfect. Grille and headlight bezels are like new with perfect chrome.

The interior is 98% like new with no visible issues or flaws. It is the original interior except for the guage package and shifter. The battery is located behind the passenger's seat and it is brand new.

Please feel free to ask any questions, as I have probably forgotten to mention everything.
