1982 GMC K3500
1982 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 3500 Description
I have for sale a very nice, very low mileage 1982 GMC K3500 truck with a nice 7' x 9' flatbed on it. The truck has 8175 original miles. The truck is from the western slope of Colorado and was used by the fire department until they up graded to newer vehicles. The truck has a completely rebuilt 454 as of 04/10/17. I have the paperwork from the dealership that completed the work. The engine lost oil pressure and spun a bearing. At the time of rebuild, he dealership also replaced exhaust studs and gaskets, the throw out bearing, coolant and serviced the truck. The truck does have a few scratches here and there but is in very good condition for a 35 year old original. The engine runs like a clock, the tranny shifts smooth and the 4x4 works well.It has Warn lockout hubs, newer dual exhaust, duel fuel tanks, backup horn, rear facing flood lights on the headache rack and a brake control. There is not a bit of rust on the truck as it was washed and waxed regularly. It has been stored indoors since new. It does not leak or use any oil or other fluids. The Toyo tires are like new and all 6 match. The glass is all very good and no pitting or cracks in the windshield. The floor mat does have a few rips in it (see photos) the dash is 100% good, no cracks not even near the small holes at the speaker cover. The seat is covered with a good cover and it is not sagging or beat up. The truck has not been smoked inside of and does not have any odors. The truck also has a devise that allows the driver to fully lock the front wheels as well as the e-brake. The truck drives down the road straight and stops straight. It does have a stiff suspension as you would expect for a 1 ton 4x4. I bought this truck sight unseen with the intention of mounting a tree spade on i, since I picked it up I have decided it is way to nice to cut the frame down and use as a spade truck so I have decided to sell it and look for a decent truck that will work with the spade. All of the lights work as they should, there is an auxiliary oil pressure gauge installed, a tach on the outside by the drivers door. The truck use to have a PTO installed ( reason for the external tach) to run the fire pump but was removed prior to my purchase. As far as I know the only thing that does not work correctly is the fuel gauge. It works sometimes and other times it does not. This is a basic truck with radio delete, rubber floor mat and crank windows. If you have any questions, please call me (Ken) at 719-510-4582 ( please leave a message and phone number if I can not answer) I will do my best to answer the questions I reserve the right to cancel this auction at anytime as the vehicle is for sale locally here in Rush, Colorado. I may be able to deliver depending on my schedule and the location of the buyer. This fee will be discussed and agreed upon, the truck must be paid for prior to delivery. I can store the truck inside of my shop for a period of time for the buyer. If you are a serious buyer, call and make a reasonable offer, most of my listing end early. Miles may increase a bit due to test drives. Thanks for looking, Ken
