This is a very cool old street rod / race car / show car that has been in storage for many years. Originally it was running a blown and injected big block Chevy, so thechassis is set up for a high horsepower engine. The guy that built it bought the original and stock car in the 1940s as his driver. In the late 70s he built it into whatyou see here. He passed away in 2001. Similar to gasser, hot rod, lead sled, street rod, rat rod, low rider, race car, drag car.

Body: Very straight and rust free. Paint is Dupont Chroma Premier Pearl Yellow over a white base. Super shiny and in excellent shape. Just a few minor road chips. 1 shortscratch onrightrear fender. 1 small chip on trunk lid. Even the underside of the whole car is painted to thepoint that it could bewaxed. Top was professionally cut down a few inches. Doors close like a new car. Door fitment gaps are perfect. Glass is all excellent. Weather stripping is all excellent. Flames are painted on. All lights work. Electric door poppers plus hidden manual door poppers onboth doors. The 2 speed electric wipers work, but the wiper arms are missing. The trunk lid has an electric motor installed but it is not working. Gravity holds it down for now, and it is very heavy. Custom made stainless steel front inner fender wells that direct the air to the radiator and engine for enhancedcooling.
Interior: Hope you like yellow! Very nicely done interior that needs nothing but a carpet cleaning. Roll bar welded to the frame. Speedometer shows 252 miles and I believe it to be the true milage from the original build.Gauges all work except the fuelgauge. Still has the boost gauge from when it had a blower. It now just reads the engine vacuum. Pete and Jakes custom steering wheel. The bearing at the top of the steering column has someplay in it, but it does not affect the turning. Has heater but no A/C.
Driveline: The super high performance engine was pulled out and sold before I got the car. It is now running a basically stock 454 big block Chevy. Very reliable, easy on pump gas, sounds great, runs cool, looks cool, starts right up, and no issues. The 400 turbo transmission is a heavy duty unit out of a motor home. It has the heavy duty straight cut gears so it is a bit noisy, but notobnoxious. Stock torque converter. The rear end is a 9" Ford with thedesirable heavy duty "N" case housing. I have noidea what the gears ratio is, but it cruises just fine on the highway. It has Mosercompletion axles with screw in studs. Full 3" stainless steel exhaust with cuts outs. Soundsawesome.
Chassis: You really have to see thechases to appreciate it. All of the welds are professional. Lots of support members. Large disc brakes up front and large drums in the rear. Allbrakes look like new. No power steering or brakes but it drives fine. 4 link coil over rear suspension with all new bushings. Front is a dropped tube straight axle onparallel leaf springs.
Wheels: Realvintage American "D" spokes that use the shouldered lug nuts, not the new style bevel cut lug nuts. 15 x 10 on the rear with new Mickey Thompson Street SS drag radials 295 / 65 / 15. Fronts are 15 x 4.5 with new 165 / 80 / 15 radials.
