1975 Corvette coupe Project car
1975 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Description
1975 Corvette Stingray. Good unfinished restoration project.
Body is in fair condition with some body work already started.
This Corvette was sitting in a basement garage when restoration was started and now it needs a new home.
Selling it because I don't need another project right now and trying to finance other projects.
First the pros:
Some body work has already been started with a little more to do. Some fiberglass pieces of the valance panel in front of the front spoiler and other small areas are easily replaced. Nice rims and good glass. Power windows are there but have not tried them, automatic transmission. T-tops are good with good seal and do not leak.
Checked the engine and transmission oil and both look good. Looks like someone has started putting the engine back together. Have radiator, condenser and many other parts not shown in pictures. The intake, carb and other engine parts are there along with brackets, bolts and other small pieces you would want to be there. Interior is complete and needing restoration to be nice. Everything appears to be there and nothing from the interior has been disassembled except for the door panels which are still there. This is a complete project car with most if not all of the original parts still with the car.
I have check in this listing that the car has a clear title because it was the most accurate of the choices provided and I couldn't proceed with the listing without checking something. The Corvette does not have a title that goes with the car. Cars in Alabama that are 35 years or older do not need a title and can be sold with a bill of sale. If you are in a state that requires a title to register the car, your local DMV will have a process that will allow you to get a title.
The cons:
The bottom part of the radiator support has rusted out; easy to find on eBay. There are a few small things like one rear taillight missing but nothing big or expensive as far as I can tell. Unsure about condition of engine or transmission but have had a mechanic look at it and he thinks it is was good. The engine does turn by hand. I reasoned the engine and trans are good otherwise why would the last owner be putting the engine back together. Car has a few places on the fiberglass that need to be repaired. Car is not currently running and the key to the ignition/ door has been lost.
Selling complete and as is. Not parting out. This car has too much potential to be a great restoration project.
