1994 Chevrolet Caprice Wagon LT1
1994 Chevrolet Caprice Base Description
Good Driver quality vehicle with a lot of recent work done to it. I would be happy to make the time for it to be inspected by any sellers or their representatives before the auction ends. Please read the description and auction terms carefully and let me know any questions.I've put a lot of time and more money than I will get back into this car, and I feel that while there are a few things that could be addressed by the next owner, it has been and continues to be a good reliable car for the age and miles. It was owned by a 94 year old retired Air Force general prior to my getting it and he took good care of it. Clear massachusetts title in my name, current inspection sticker as well
1) Outline of my brief ownership history, and what has been done on the car:I have owned this wagon since March 2016. I am selling it as I have 4 other cars that are becoming more of a priority. This car has been my main daily driver and I love it, but it is time to put my focus elsewhere. Since 2016 this has had:New Optispark system, plus and wires . Professional VATS bypass to eliminate the well know VATS security system issues with these cars. New Radiator, Water Pump, and Transmission cooler lines, and oil cooler lines. New battery, Fan belt <new Rear lower control Arms, new rear coil over shocks, new front shocks, and new Front Pads and new rear drums. 2 new front tires, and I added a set of Genuine 9C1 15" rims, which are in excellent shape.I had an exhaust shop replace the dual exhaust and muffler set up from the converters to The resonators, and the 2 O2 sensors have been replaced as well. The Starter was replaced last fall as well. The transmission fluid and filter were replaced last fall, along with the rear main transmission seal. When I put the new front tires on this spring, I had a full 4 wheel alignment done as well2) Things it may need now or in the future, and small items to be aware of:the rear tires are in good shape with good tread, but only the front tires were done in the spring. it does seem to weep a little oil from under the lower front pulley. not enough to have to top it off, but I can see some drip marks on the driveway and a bit of oil under the pulley and want to be as honest as I can be when assessing the car. The Rear passenger window is not operational. I believe it to be the window motor and not the switch. I recharged the A/C in the spring, and really don't put the windows down much so I never investigated it further. The upholstery, seats and carpet are in good shape, but there is a worn through spot on the driver's side carpet, and on the head liner over the driver's door from years of the prior owner getting in and out of the car. I look at this as cosmetic wear and tear, but again I want to be open. There are several dings and small dents in certain areas. i have tried to highlight these in a few photos. Rust seems to be more surface rust in nature, but the bottom of the spare tire carrier has rusted through a bit on the very bottom. Good strong engine and transmission with no sign of smoking and glass is in good shape. It is a 23 year old New england car and I may have missed something despite my best efforts, so I encourage you to review first hand if you can. Non refundable 500 deposit due at auction close/ paper work and vehicle will be released upon full payment, car must be picked up 10 days after options close.
