Description:
I am selling a 1949 Chevrolet 3100 Pick-up/Car Hauler. It has a Chevy 3100 "doghouse" cab on a 1-ton frame, with a 16 foot long, black diamond plate deck in the back. It comes with a 12,000 lb. BADLANDWhinches setup w/ remote,on the car deck.It also includes two 10 foot ramps that slide and store inside/under the rear deck. It comes with a strong-running Chevy 350 c.i. V8 motor and a 350 Automatic Transmission. The rear axle has dual tires with drum bakes.
Recent Silver & Black paint job. There is a minor dent by the passenger side vent inlet (see photos). Recent mechanical work includes the following: The carburetor has had the accelerator pump replaced and adjusted. The front end work includes new king pin bearings, spindle bearing and packing the wheel bearings. The drum brake system (with remote vacuum brake booster) has had the Master cylinder replaced and the brake system flushed & bled.
The original gauges in the dashboard are not currently working. As such, I cannot confirm or verify the actual mileage. An aftermarket panel was installed below the dash which displays the temperature, RPMs volts, etc.
This vehicle is Registered in California and has a clear title (in hand). I would suggest getting a tune-up, as it has sat for awhile. Remember, this is a truck built over 68 yrs. ago with front suspension & steering from that era. For that reason, I had work done on the spindle bearings &king pins so there wouldn't be as much slop in the steering, due to it's age.(I have receipts) It has an electrical short that should be addressed, so the battery doesn't drain, when parked for long periods of time. For that reason, I disconnect the battery. The truck runs fine, and I've driven it around town.(PLEASE SEE VIDEO LINK BELOW)
