1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Description

You are looking at a real deal 1968 Chevelle SS 396 Convertible. This car is an actual barn find. I bought this car 10 years ago from an estate in Illinois. The guy that owned it had a Oldsmobile dealership back in the 60s and 70s. Every time something really cool would get traded in, he would just take it to his home and park it in his climate controlled building. This car was traded into the Olds dealership around 1971. It was hidden away with a lot of really good 442 Oldsmobiles, Pontiac GTOs, and low mile Toronados. When I first saw this Chevelle it was parked next to a 80s Ford dump truck that had 60 original miles. The guy had bought it to use it on his property, drove it home from the Ford dealership and then never drove it again! Anyway back to the Chevelle. It is an authentic 396/350 horse 4 speed numbers matching convertible with 41,000 real miles. This car drives just like you would expect a 41,000 mile car to drive. I put the reproduction red lines on because the original tires were badly dry rotted. It has power steering, rear antenna and someone had added a hurst shifter prior to 1971. It is a real red car with black interior and white top. The paint is very presentable but showing it's age. There are scratches and a few small dents and dings but the interior is very nice and all original. These cars are almost impossible to find with the original drive trains, good colors, 4 speeds and convertible!
Don't miss the chance to be able to buy a real car that hasn't been cut up and destroyed by amateurish restorations
