1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Description

An accurate presentation of the only black with gold stripe, manual transmission ZL1 ever made.

The body was stripped of all parts and was taken down to bare metal in the rotissere restoration ( complete photo documentation).

Reasembly was paintstakingly done with all new hardware and period correct ZL1 parts including the following:

ZL1 all aluminum 427 block with a forged Eagle crank with H beam Eagle rods, balanced and blue printed, aluminum heads and Winters aluminum intake with all proper hardware, hydraulic roller Comp cam with roller rockers and doubleroller timing chain, deep grove pulleys, date coded spark plug wires, correct GM hoses with tower clamps. Complete engine specs dyno testing, clearance specs, piston weight, ring gap, torque specs, compression ratio, head cc's, valve spring pressure ect. are avavable.

New suspension includes front and rear springs, ball joints,bushings, tie rod ends, shocks, spindles, rotors and factory JL8 four wheel disc brakes, brake lines, mater cylinder, power brake booster and rebuilt power steering.

Fuel system has a new fuel tank, fuel gauge, mounting straps, hardware, sending unit, fuel lines including the correct ZL1 lines from the new fuel pump to the carburetor and a new Holley 780 cfm carburetor.

The car currently has a new Keisler(Legend Gear) aluminum case 5 speed transmission with aHurst shifter. A rebuild 4 speed Muncie M21 with a new Hurst shifter is availble.

The rear end is a rebuilt twelve bolt with 3:89 gears and a posi unit.

The deluxe interior is all new including the headliner, sun visors, seat foam and covers, seat belts,door panels, dash pad, carpeting, console, all gauges, door fuzzies, packagetray, door jam vents, pillar post moldings, door sill plates, rear view and side view mirrors, weather stripping and a Rosewood steering wheel with a tilt column.

All chrome is new including the trim, door handles, window cranks, front and rear bumoers, side marker light trim, emblems, ect.

All the electrical is new including all wiring, switches, lights, voltage regulator, alternator, horns, wiper moter, heater fan, ect.

Factory style chambered exhaust system.

The RS style headlights have all new componants including doors, bushings correct color marked vacuum hoses and vacuum canister. They work as well as the factory ones did.

I have put about 2k miles on the car since the 2 1/2 year build and is well storted out.
