VERY COOL CHEVY BISCAYNE COP CAR! ***LOW RESERVE***
1958 Chevrolet Biscayne Description
Undoubtedly, one of the most fun cars I have ever owned! Living most of its life in the great state of Montana, this one of a kind classic reportedly patrolled the rural areas of Stanford, Montana, throughout the early 1960's.
Mechanically, this car is in great shape. The 283 V8 engine runs like a top, the three speed on the column shifts perfect, and the clutch is smooth. No noise from the rear end. This car was also the recent recipient of a complete tune-up and brake job. She runs and drives very well, you could take this car anywhere.
All body panels are very solid, however, there are some surface rust bubbles showing. She is wearing very old paint with slightdiscoloring andpatina. The bucket areas of the floor pans have been replaced from the inside, the trunk pan is original and still solid. The frame is in very good shape showing only surface rust with no sign of damage. Glass appears to be all original. All brightwork is complete with no missing pieces, in good condition.
The interior is unrestored original condition. The headlights, turn signals, fuel gauge, and temp gauge work fine, the speedometer and wipers, not so much. The police light, siren, and P/A system are all working well. Spare tire, jack, lug wrench, and a set of old school tire chains still in the trunk!
As you can see this old beauty is far from perfect, but it is an awesome fun car that draws tons of attention wherever she goes!
