1987 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Silverado Description

Up for bid is my shop truck. The body is rough but very solid. It has been lowered 6" in the rear and 4 1/2" up front. It has new spindles, springs, shackles and shocks. The front end has new upper ball joints. The brake system has been completely overhauled with new rotors, pads wheel bearings, rear drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses and master cylinder. It has had a major tuneup and runs amazing. The truck also has a new battery and cables. The truck is equipped with dual tanks, the right tank, fuel pump and float is new. The body is solid with only some rust spots on the surface (see photos). The interior was taken out and the cab thoroughly scrubbed before replacing all the insulation and new carpeting. It has a new headliner and Coverlay dash cover. The power locks and windows work perfectly (new window motors). The truck was equipped with factory air conditioning but the compressor and condenser are missing (before I bought it) but all the mode doors and fan work as they should. I replaced all the lock cylinders so 1 key fits all. As for the body, I replaced the front inner fender wells and battery tray because they were rusty. The front fenders were replaced with used, rust free GM fenders. The passenger side door is rough(see photo) and the bed has some minor dings but nothing serious. The paint has chips and scratches but considering it's age isn't too bad. The bed inside is in in decent condition for an old truck. I replaced the grill and headlight doors as the old ones were cracked and weathered. Now for the badThe temperature gauge doesn't work but the truck runs cool. The gauge needs replacing. The oil pressure gauge is intermittently Inoperative but carries good oil pressure. Overall the truck is a very reliable and great shop truck. It rides good and runs smooth and goes down the road straight. The 1987 square bodies are considered the most desirable of the body style with fuel injection and this one wouldn't take much to make it really nice.If you have any questions, please send me your number and best time to call and I'll be happy to answer any questions HONESTLY this truck is being sold as is with no returns accepted and no warranty. Winning bidder is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
