1972 Chevy El Camino Custom SS Tribute 350 V8 Edelbrock Crager Wheels Chevelle
1972 Chevrolet El Camino Description
1972 Chevrolet El Camino Custom.
Original 350 4 BBL Car! TH350 Turbo Automatic Transmission.
This car is a storage locker find! Been sitting in a storage unit for past 10 years! The previous owner had it restored a few years before putting it in storage. He said he went through a bad divorce, he got the cars and she got the house. He said she whacked the top of the roof with a golf club, putting a little dent in it and cracking the windshield. He didn't get it fixed before putting it in storage so the paint started lifting and peeling.
Solid rust free frame, body mounts, and floors
Has a good running and sounding 350 4 bolt from a later model Chevy truck. Doesn't smoke tick or knock. It definitely has a cam and timing gear drive.
Has an Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock 4 barrel carb with electric choke. Aluminum radiator and electric fan. Steel braided hoses.
Has long tube headers with true dual exhaust with glass packs. Tail pipes exit in front of rear wheels.
Steel SS Cowl Induction Hood.
SS Badges.
Power disc brakes on front and drums on the rear.
12 bolt rear differential.
4 new tires before put in storage that hold air and still have the nubs on them.
Cragar SS 15" wheels. Offset in the rear. Have minor surface rust.
Has late model black leather bucket seats. Driver side is power but not hooked up and the seat only has one bolt holding it down at the moment.
Door panels are in excellent shape with the exception of the chrome peeling on the passenger side.
Dash only has one crack.
Has an aftermarket 3 gauge pod but only the temp gauge is hooked up. And the bracket is needs to be mounted.
Has a nice headliner but needs to be re-glued. Carpet is stained and faded.
Has a nice snap on tonneau cover. Inside the bed is very nice. No rust. Just needs a good cleaning along with the rest of the car.
No rust on back window frame.
The paint is bubbling on the rear lower quarters. See pics.
Clear coat is peeling on the hood and various other places.
Cracked paint, surface rust and small dent on roof.
Cracked windshield.
I bought a new battery for it.
I just had the carburetor cleaned. I also just installed new Accel header spark plugs and new Accel 8.8mm Superconductor spark plug wires!
As it has been sitting for so long, I'm sure all the fluids will need to be changed. Especially the oil. I have new oil and filter that I will include.
NO TEST DRIVES! Car is not registered OR insured and it needs to be completely gone through!
