1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 Description

** Keep in mind this is a 27 year old Corvette
The car is very nice, but is not like new. It drives and feels like a car of 27 years and is a collector's car for a Corvette Collector.
With that said,
Beautiful Black Corvette ZR-1 known as "King of the Hill" & at one point deemed the fastest production car made. This is a beautiful example just recently serviced at American Chevrolet. I am the second owner of this ZR-1. Bill Mullis, a collector of black Corvettes, is the original owner. He owns many rare black corvettes and this is one of his. Please see youtube.com/watch?v=IL6AiMdX36I. The car is beautiful inside and out and with the exception of some minor rim wear, the car is in great condition. All functions & features work flawlessly.
"The contract to build the engines went to Mercury Marine, and the first ZR-1 actually put down 375 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque to its fat rear wheels through a ZF six-speed transmission. Like the LT5 engine, this gearbox was the product of a global technology assessment, here including proposals from two other vendors.

The powerpack of new engine and transmission prompted this view of the pyrotechnics in our first drive (October 1988): "What we've got here is the Corvette from hell. It lets out the power with the speed and strength of water through a fire hose. And the six-speed gearbox is nothing short of marvelous, working with minimum effort and maximum smoothness." In that preview story, we predicted a 0-to-60 clocking of 4.2 seconds. In our first test of a production car in October 1989, the ZR-1 did it in 4.5 seconds."

** This Corvette's rear right rim has a pretty significant inconsistency (bend) on it. Please see pictures. I believe this occurred when the car was transported cross country to me on truck and trailer.

** At high speeds, the car does shimmy a bit.

** A question was raised about the originality of this Corvette's CD/ radio (please see question below). The color of the CD/ radio in my corvette is black and not gray. I bought the car from a collector and was not told that it was not original. I posted a picture of the CD/ radio from the Owners Manual but it is hard to say what color it should be. Please see photo. The controls are the same though.

Payment will be by cash only. Shipping of this car will be responsibility of the new owner.

Email with questions, thank you.
