1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Description

Up for sale is a very nice solid 1966 Chevelle/Malibu convertible. The car is very solid and could easily be taken to the next level of restoration or enjoyed as it sits. Mechanically you could drive this car anywhere. It has a ZZ4 Chevrolet 350 crate engine in it backed with a 700R4 overdrive transmission. It has a totally rebuilt 12 bolt positrack Chevy rear end, 4 wheel disc brakes which work awesome, new shocks, new exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, new billet rally style wheels wrapped with new rubber all the way round. Wheel and tire package was 3k by itself. The car runs and drives great especially for a old hotrod. It has a electric choke 600 cfm Holley carb so cold starts are not a problem. I personally drove this car on a 400 mile trip and averaged 17 mpg at 75-80 mph. The top is new, car is rust free, interior in good condition with new seat covers and door sills. Steering column has been replaced with a chrome I did it tilt wheel column. Carpet is in good shape along with dash and center console. There is a tachometer sitting where a clock should be in the center console, I’m not sure if it works or not the wires are not hooked up. It has a vintage style radio with modern features for playing a MP3 or Ipod along with new front kick panels and new speakers installed. The exterior paint looks good from a short distance but is not show quality by any means. It is showing age with some chips and cracking in a few places. Under carriage is very nice as to most the effort so far being put towards the mechanical aspects of the car. A quick paint job and you could easily have a car worth 50k.
