1966 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II 100 Description

A classic looking second generation 1966 Chevrolet model series (13) Chevy II 100 4-door sedan. Please note that this model is not the Nova, but rather the 100 series. 1966 Chevy IIs introduced an extensive sharp-edged restyle. In general, proportions were squared up. Highlights included a bold grille and semi-fastback roofline. "Humped" fenders in an angular rear end were reminiscent of larger 1966 Chevrolets, though the 1966 Chevy II and Nova had vertical taillights and single headlights.

The many registration, state inspection and service records, reflect that this vehicle had a life history that includes Maryland (receipt as current as 05/05/1979), California (1983-1992), and New Mexico (1992-2014). The vehicle was last titled/registered in Lovington, NM. I have the clear New Mexico title signed by the previous owner.

There is minimum rust as the vehicle has anundercoating, probably due to the fact that it probably started it's history in Maryland. There is no carpet, the vehicle came equipped with a vinyl floor covering. This vehicle was repainted by the previous owner, but the final finishing was not done nor was the clear coat was applied. The top of the roof is starting to show some minor surface rust and the front of the hood reflects that some body filler was applied, but it is a poor job and it's will need some attention (see photos ... please excuse the fact that they are upside down. Those photos uploaded that way to eBay).

Please understand that although this vehicle starts right up, drives well, can be titled/registered and driven, it is still a bit of a 'project car'. It's the cosmetics that need repair, primarly the interior needs attention as the front dash, seat upholstery, headliner and rear deck all need to be replaced. But everything else works alright (i.e.: original AM radio, brakes, headlights, turn signals, door knobs, windows, ventilation fan, defroster, etc. Also, while the original keys start the vehicle and unlock the trunk, I've had trouble trying to lock the doors with them.
