1969 chevrolet camaro SS RS pace car convertible Z11 white orange 350 4 speed
1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS RS Z11 Pace Car Convertible Description
This is a 1969 Camaro SS RS Pace Car Convertible Z11 350 4sp. I have a clear MN title and I have had this car since 1982 when it was last registered and on the road. This car has had the hard work already done, new floor pans front and rear, new trunk pans, inner and outer wheel wells, new frame rails, new front fenders.Sub frame removed sandblasted and painted black and reinstalled, new quarter panels on rear, Motor is a 4 bolt main 350 with the Camel back 202 heads and is a complete rebuild with crossdrilled oil journals in the Crank and Cam. Cam is degreed at 107.5, over $3,000.00 in the motor all receipts, its done right, brand new never run just turned occasionally. 4 speed transmission complete rebuild over $1,000.00; M21, 21 spline, new clutch and pressure plate also, new factory exhaust front to rear, underside painted already. New shocks already in.Tires are brand new with factory rally rims trim and caps. This car rolls freely and is sitting in a garage. I was putting in the new brake lines and Fuel lines getting it ready to run and I have run out of timeas we are selling our home and loosing space and the time and ability to finish.I have over $10,000.00 in verified receipts forthe body panels. This car is ready for the right body man to finish and put the finishing touches on.most of the interior is there which needs to be redone, missing one bucket seat. I have many other new parts and whoever wins this auction will get everything I have for this car as well as any extranew and used partsfor this Camaro and any others I have left over frompast Camaro builds; spare hood, tail lights, bumpers, door glass, 1/4 glass. etc. I hate to sell this one as it the Z11 Pace Car convertible with the hard work mostly complete. This is a project car but if you know what this is and what's already been done this is a great find. What you see is what it is.

the Transmission was a 2003 rebuild. The enging receipts start in 1999. I have attached photos of Two "Holly Carbs" I have with this car project I do not know which one might be the original and they would need to be rebuilt they both will go with the project. As I have said, all extra parts I have for this Camaro and other past Camaro projects will go to the winning bidder on pick up. Thanks for asking. I was allowed these four additional pictures in this post. Thanks for your interest and bid(s) and questions.

Attached is a photo of the left rear shock tower from inside the trunk, it's been jammed with white pain, as you can see it's all replaced and solid, the convertible well basket is in there too. I've shown the right door showing the bottom it was jammed with white paint and is solid. a overall photo of the inside with boxes of some parts and the counsel, windshield good, floor solid and jammed with white paint. Also the trunk extensions were put in, jammed with white paint and the rear weight balancers are there too just need to be mounted again. Thank you for your bid(s) and interest in this project car.

On Oct-17-17 at 18:24:34 PDT, seller added the following information:the trim tag on the firewall lower left shows a "03B" which I told is the motor code. Decoded I'm told the 3 is the month and the B is the second week of the month or the other way around 3 being the week of the month and the B meaning the second month February. With that said, the Motor code for the build date was either February or March of 1969 in the second or third week. On the rear of the motor by the distributor is the A29 stamp which shows this block to be a January 2nd 1969 motor block or A29. The photo of each area is above. The engine Pad vin area is hard to see and appears to be smooth, maybe machined with the rebuild. I hope this helps, thanks for the interest and bid(s) |

I see a casting number on the Muncie Transmission of 3925661 looking that up I find this note: Colvin's "by the numbers" book notes that Muncie data shows 1968 and 1969 M22 transmissions received main case #3925661. All documented M22 transmissions have the #3925660 main case. It is unclear why there is the discrepancy. I thought I was told this was a M21 but it might be a M22? I'm not a GM Numbers guy so I'm providing what I can as so I give the best information I can to all that are interested in this project. I do know the rear end is a multi leaf Posi traction and believe it is the original rear end. I don't have it on a hoist anymore so I don't have those numbers available. see other answer on the motor posted earlier. I cannot "guarantee" a numbers matching car but everything I'm finding and showing is shoring up to 1969.
