An absolutely beautifully bodied and restored 57. Dresses up with Bel-Air quarter trim, and “Old Schooled” just the way we loved them done. Current owner bought in 2000 as a quality frame restoration, and solid body. Then the process began, completed in approximately 2005, engine upgrade 2009-2010, mostly professional done with owners assistance. New body paint, new interior, gloss black frame, new glass, new wiring, new engine, all part of this build.

* Extra bright work that we believe is Tri 5
* Extra steering box
* Extra axles we believe are correct for the 3.73 rear end
* 3.73 ratio rear end that includes a gear set that is open
Paint-
* Car was painted in 2005-2006, you can tell it was expertly prepared. We did not find any scratches in the paint. It is beautifully polished, smooth, shiny, and matches all the way around and without a question is professionally done!
* There is absolutely no orange peel, as it is beautifully rubbed and smooth.
* Car is all done in lacquer paint, and the owner choose to not use a clear coat.
* Being extremely critical there are a few small chips of paint on the top portion of the drivers door, and a small nick on the deck lid in the center. (see pics)
Body-
* The body is almost laser straight, and had to have been extremely professionally prepared before receiving the paint. Look closely at the pictures at an angle, and you will see what I am talking about.
* The fits of the doors, hood, and trunk all look fairly uniform and proper, and where expertly remounted on the car.
* We have not been able to locate any dents, or incorrect waves in the body of any type. (See Pics)
Magnets-
* The owner indicated the reason he bought this car was he believed it has been out west, and believed it to have a very high quality body with minimal repair.
* In going over the car with a magnetic paint gauge we would estimate that in order to make a car this beautifully straight it would have been professionally prepared. As a show car it has a good solid amount of color placed on the body to produce a beautiful finish.
* We did not find any absents of steel in body panels, and would note that around the headlights, taillight, and wheel opening moldings it did not indicate typical rust repair.
* The rear bottom of the front fenders is the only spot the gauge indicated some possible repair at some point.
Bright Work-
* All the bright work on the car appears to be fastened down well.
* All the stainless surrounding or near the windows is all dent free and shows very little wear, but like typical few year old stainless could be polished up a step better.
* The stainless running down the sides, the brushed v shaped stainless, and Bel-Air style caps on top of the rear quarters is all in shiny highly polished condition with only a couple of minor dimples on the drivers side piece toward the rear. (See Pics)
* The front and rear Chevrolet badging and the V below it, as well as the spears on the front, the antenna mount and door handles all look like that of almost a new car.
* The rear bumper and the taillight bezels are all very shiny and reflective, but do have some light wear and scratching on the top.
* The chrome on front bumper as well as the points and lower hood piece have no wear, with the exception of some discoloring on the lower right hand front bumper corner. (See Pics)
Glass-
* The owner indicated to me that all new tinted glass was installed in all windows only excluding the vent window glass, which appears to be a similar tint.
* The glass does not have any noticeable logos on it with the exception of the windshield which is a LOF logo.
* The glass is as new as you could imagine, as we don't see any scratches, wiper marks, cracks ext. The darker tint really looks appropriate on the green body.
Interior-
* The interior was started off by freshly repainting the dash the same color matching the outside with great attention to detail when installing knobs, gauges, levers, ext. Its an extremely striking dash! There is almost no wear showing on the dashes bright work, steering wheel has no open cracks, and just a couple light hair line cracks. The bright work on the window cranks, and door releases look almost new. (See Pics)
* Owner had a professional upholster install the headliner, door panels, seat covers, and carpet, and it shows no wear.
* The sun visors are solid and matching headliner upholstery.
* The interior all feels and looks as if it was just done.
* There is a small amount of wrinkling on the headliner particularity around the hand pull straps.
* The new wiring harness was installed in the car and also included is all the extra wiring, and information from American auto wire systems. It includes wiring to add in factory or even non factory options like a third light or electric fans. The remainder of the kit and the electrical connectors are included.
* Heat and vent system major parts included. (see photos)
* The box and books for the radio that is in the car are included, also white binder with the service manual
Trunk-
* The trunk is painted in similar green.
* The mini tubbing was designed into the rear wheel wells years ago and matched with inboard springs will allow accommodation of larger rear tires and wheels shall a future owner desire.
* There is a spare tire, wheel, and older mat, as well as a solid floor. The spare tire cut out was removed.
* The current owner does have correct weather striping for the trunk deck that does go with the sale. (See Pics)
Tires and Wheels-
* Goodyear Eagle GT II
* We did not see any damage to the tires or wheels.
* The tires do not show any signs of age or cracking
* The chrome finish on the wheels looks like that of a couple year old car, with maybe a touch of wear around the bolts.
* Left Front- P225-70-159-10/32 Tread Remaining
* Right Front- P225-70-159-10/32 Tread Remaining
* Left Rear- P225-70-15 9-10/32 Tread Remaining
* Right Rear- P225-70-159-10/32 Tread Remaining
Engine and Transmission-
* Engine is a 290 H.P. / 350 C.I. General Motors long block engine, that was purchased new and installed a few years after the restoration for additional performance.
* We where not able to find an invoice for the engine, but it was bought new from Burt Greenwald Chevrolet, in Akron, Ohio.
* The engine included new block, heads, and reciprocating parts.
* The bottom side of the hood has been expertly finished.
* The car has a dual master cylinder, and power brakes. Items of chrome along with the chrome alternator.
* The current owner had not planned to use the vehicle other than in the summer, and choose not to install the heater and air handling system. However if you look closely at the pictures of all the extra items that are included you see what appears to be most all of those major components, should someone want to install them.
* Owner had a completely custom fabricated aluminized steel exhaust system (dual) to the rear of the car. The turn down on the ends were made to simulate the factory pipes.
* Owner has a few quarts of extra touch up paint that are from the repaint. Mirrors he did not install them but they do come with it and the extra parts you will see. (See Pics)
* New battery was installed last fall.
* Owner indicated almost every year he changes the vehicles oil and filter, and services the vehicle as needed.
* You will notice some of the venting ducts are up inside the fenders.(See Pics)
Chassis-
* If you look at the attention to detail that went into the mounting hardware, nuts, bolts, paint quality, newer shocks, newer brakes, and inside rockers are in great condition.
* The floors are all nice and solid. There is a spot that was cut out and installed back later in on the transmission for some type of different transmission or shifter at some point in its life.
* Owner said it has some drag racing in its background, which might explains the great condition its in.
* You will see a little dampness from the engine and transmission in the pictures but nothing abnormal.
* You will notice with the original restoration pictures that brakes line, body mounts with new bolts. Lots of attention to detail on the chassis restoration.
Test Drive-
Chad rode with the owner 10-12 miles, and on the way back they stopped and Chad drove 5-7 miles back. It seems to steer as a typical steering gear box is designed. It rides nice with the radials. It is smooth with no unusual noises, the clutch operates properly and shifts through all 4 gears, up and down without issue. The engine ran and performed as it was designed. The car stops without pulling to the left or the right, and it does have disc brakes on the front. It brakes without pulling. * When the engine is idling hot we are at about 40 lbs oil pressure, and at about 2000 rpm's we are close to 50 lbs. Temp. around 175 on the water. True mileage unknown- title indicates “No Odometer”.
Mechanical-
* Headlights work
* Front parking lights work
* High beams work on left and right
* Blinkers work left and right, front and back
* Taillights work
* Brake lights work
* License plate light works
* Both windows crank up and down
* Both the vent windows do unlock, vents open and close, and relock
* Clock doesn't work
* Radio is new but is not wired up- (see box in pictures)
* Volt meter is not registering but its charging because battery is ok
* Lighter works
* Heater and air handling is not installed, but the switch from off to high works smoothly, and each one of the sliding vents works well.
* Windshield wipers work both speeds
* Oil and generator lights do light up when you turn ignition on
* Cars built in temp is hooked up but is not accurate
* Tachometer works
* Horn does not work( steering wheel control to the horn is new and operating they just don't have horns mounted on the car)
* The ignition switch works on/off
* Dome light works
* Parking brake does work and holds firmly
* Speedometer and Odometer not working
* Aftermarket voltage gauge not working
* Window washers not operating
* Factory trim tag was not reinstalled/ Vin tag on pillar(see pics)
