Chevrolet produced less than 300 of the Canopy Express in 1951 and this one is in near original condition; just pull the choke, turn the key, press the starter pedal and it fires up and runs nicely. Only needs a new master cylinder.
Only two owners: First owner was an egg farmer in Northern California who purchased the truck in 1951 and used the truck to deliver his eggs door to door until 1965. My father purchased the truck in 1995 and moved it to Southern California where it exists today. He would use it for car show and local parades.
My hope is that the third owner will be someone that respects the original condition of this rare gem. Note: I have the original Owner's Manual and a letter from original owner's son to my father expressing his happiness that their family heirloom was in good hands.
