Nn1967 Chevy Impala 2 door, fastback project Finish the way you want it looking
1967 Chevrolet Impala Description
I started this project as a father son project, long story, now I don't have time to finish it. It is a very good car in the making. All exterior panels will need repaired or replaced, and all extra parts go with it, but if you don't want them you are not required to take them. I removed the body from the frame, but the original frame was too rusty to repair, so I bought a different frame. The frame I bought had the shell of the body still attached, and it was more solid than the original one, so I used that shell, and the title is for that body. The motor is out of the original car. It was completely rebuilt by me, bored .030 over. It was about 5 years ago when I rebuilt the motor, and while it was never driven I start it from time to time and kept it in a building all that time. I have 14 inch wheels on it, but also have some 15 inch. If I remember correctly the original had 14's and frame had 15's. Naturally after it is finished you would want new tires and probably wheels too. These are ok to move around the shop. I have all of the original interior parts which are in good shape except for the new headliner, rear shelf, carpet and padding along with the new weather stripping. I also took pictures of the interior parts while I removed them and can put them on a cd for reference. I thought that once I retired I would have time to finish it, but have too many projects. If I don't sell it I can always finish it later, therefore I'm not looking to give it away, so I feel the starting price is a good deal for a 50 year old 2 door car. Windshield is set in place, but no sealer used so it can be easily removed. Have all chrome parts, maybe some extra. Have extra quarter panel extensions. Many parts I don't have pictures of at this time. The power glide transmission that came with the original car was never installed and I was told it was rebuilt, but I found a used one out of a 69 Camaro which I was told was working fine when removed. The dual exhaust is all connected, but the tail pipes are not an exact match. All brakes are the ones that were on the chassis when I bought it. They are all drum brakes. Have the extra rear end out of the original car along with the coil springs. The picture with the green quarter panels and roof are from the original car, but quarters are now separated from the roof. These are included if you want them, and any extra parts for this car are a part of the deal. I blasted the frame, welded a couple places that had rust where the body mounts go, coated it inside and out. Milage listed was on original car frame, doesn't really mean much, but wouldn't let me list without milage. Hear motor run on youtube 283 motor running Donald Blood
