1988 Chevrolet Corvette RPO Z01 = 35th Anniversary Limited Edition Description

Here is a blast from the past. In 1988 Chevrolet decided to release a limited edition special order Corvette to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the Corvette. As a true sign of the 80's the triple white Corvette was born. White paint with a black roof bow. White leather seats with black carpet. White steering wheel and white seatbelts. Then the upgraded larger rims also in white. Special 35th Anniversary badges on the fenders that incorporate the logo from the 1953 Corvette and the 1998 with a 35. The hood and gas door logos are also white instead of the usual red. It was a truly beautiful car that totally represents the 80's Miami Vice vibe. There were 2050 individually numbered cars made. This one is 1634. However there were only 180 made with the manual transmission. The Doug Nash 4+3 manual with overdrive. Most of the cars with this transmission the overdrive unit no longer works. Well it does here. Recently had the transmission serviced by Carr's Corvettes and Customs of Plano Texas. Everything works the way it should. When driving it with the overdrive unit activated the gas mileage is incredible. I average 29 when out cruising the highway. Combined city and highway 23mpg. If you are in any gear you can just punch the gas and it will disengage the overdrive like an automatic downshift and then you better hold on.
Own a collectible you can have some fun with. It wins car shows with ease. Especially if they have an 80's category. Gets attention everywhere it goes. This car has the original window sticker and factory build sheet. It also includes the original owners Illinois license plate. I also have an original Franklin mint replica. All of these items are great to show off at your home or office and in the car at shows.
I had most of the original owners receipts and the receipts for the most recent repairs.
This vehicle is owned by an estate sale company. We work with a licensed dealer who can handle the paperwork and even arrange financing.
