This car has has spent its entire life until recently out west in Colorado and Nebraska, I'm sure that is the only reason it stayed in the incredible condition that it did. The body is amazing for a nearly 60 year old car. I bought this car from a gentleman at a big national hotrod event and shipped it back to Ohio about 1.5 years ago, Ive been slowly making improvements to the car. The first order of business was to get the cars' stance where it needed to be, this is something we have perfected over the years being one of the earliest shops in the country (over 20 years ago) installing airride suspension. We installed a very user friendly 4 corner fully adjustable air bag suspension system. The car rides incredible and the suspension works flawlessly. When we purchased the car the brake system was already upgraded to front disc so we left that alone. We also fitted a new set of 18" and 20" Americans with new tires to finish off the "look". We next turned our attention to the interior, the original upholstery was actually not that bad but the driver seat was worn thin and I think the interior, where you spend the majority of your time needs to be the focal point of any hot rod. We ordered every piece they offer, new seat covers, door panels, headliner, wind lace, kick panels, carpet etc and the interior now looks incredible. The engine appears to be the original 283 and also the original power-glide transmission, it doesn't look like they have been disturbed much at all other then some chrome valve covers that were already on the car when I bought it. I left the drive-train alone for now since it still ran strong and shifted fine but ultimately I wanted something with more power and more gears so I did buy an LS engine and trans out of a wrecked camaro but decided against doing the swap at this time knowing I would eventually put the wagon up for sale to pursue other needy projects. When I purchased the car it still had the factory exhaust system on it from 1962 and if you are hip to where the factory mounts the mufflers then you know its not an ideal place for lowered vehicles. While attending a local car show I dragged the muffler nearly ripping it off so thats when I parked the car. Currently its in need of an exhaust system and I will install one for the new owner at ZERO expense to the buyer, I just need to know if you want a single exhaust or dual, again, I will do this at NO COST. If you need additional pictures feel free to contact us, the bottom of the car is nearly as clean as the top, we can provide photos. For any more information please call Gary at 216-533-3889 or email at Hotrod5864@gmail.com.
