1972 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS Description

This real-deal 1972 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS has been given such a thorough restoration, that after looking over the paint, interior, original V8, and every inch (especially the undercarriage,) you'll swear that we've turned back the clock to 1972.
You're looking at the product of a complete rotisserie restoration. This means the factory-correct Pewter Silver paint gives one heck of a shine when you park it at the car shows. Why are we immediately talking about car shows? Because when you have a coupe that looks this good, you're going to need to leave the house with the trunk empty it might come home full of awards. After all, this is a real-deal split-bumper Rally Sport car. And while the crowds love to see that, we all know they're looking for Z/28s, too... and this is both! You even have a copy of the factory buildsheet to prove it. From the deep chin spoiler up front, to the rear ducktail spoiler, the car looks fast from any angle. And this feeling is amplified with black Z/28 stripes. The bodywork is super straight, the crease running along the side is sharp enough to give you a paper cut, and every badge is correct. And we know you'll catch a few ladies checking their makeup in you mirror-like chrome bumpers. Open and close the doors and you'll find that they move better than even when new, which is remarkable given the size of these pieces of Detroit metal. So if all you're looking for is a nice Camaro, we can happily show you a few... but if you are looking for an upper-class time-capsule example of an icon, this is it!
Inside, the interior is fresh, clean, and premium right from the factory. The high back bucket seats are supportive and comfortable. The coordination of black on the seats, carpeting, door panels, headliner, and dash really help with this Z's menacing attitude, but it's far from the whole story. You'll also appreciate the time capsule quality that comes from the details like the heat/defrost controls and the optional AM/FM radio that are all just as they came from the factory. This is all set in a dash that's oriented towards the driver, because after all, you are the most important part in this Z/28. That's why you also get a dual spoke steering wheel that gives you a clear view of the large speedo, tach, and all the rest of the gauges.
Under the hood it looks like it's 1972 all over again... and for a very good reason. The 350 cubic-inch V8 is the original motor to the car (very important on these Zs,) and it has been treated with the respect a muscle machine like this deserves. So during the nut-and-bolt restoration this numbers-matching V8 was treated to the best you can get. That's why this total presentation looks correct, right down to the hoses. But more than just look great, it has all the correct Z/28 components, such as the aluminum intake, and Holley four-barrel carburetor. The restored V8 barely has any miles on it since completion, so it fires up nicely and makes a wicked growl from the dual exhaust. This motor makes plenty of power and a ton of torque, so you'll be glad to have complete control over it thanks to the original Muncie M22 "rock crusher" four-speed manual transmission. Take some time to look at the undercarriage photos. They show you just how thorough a restoration can be when the budget seems limitless. Plus, you'll see great true-Z features like the front disc brakes and thick sway bars front & rear.
This build is so correct that it's even on the period-correct charcoal Mag wheels with Firestone Wide Oval tires. So you know no expense was spared and no detail was missed. This is the real-deal Z/28 for true Camaro for a real connoisseur. If that's you, then you don't want to miss this one. Call today!!!
