1970 Chevrolet Corvette 454- LS5 -4 Spd- 67K Orig. Miles - Not 427/L36 Description

Just inherited my uncle's prized 1970 big block 454 4 speed coupe. He is the 2nd owner. Purchased here in San Diego in 1977 with 63K miles. Now has just over 67K original miles. Yes, that's 100 miles a year. Car is exceptionally original and also because of mileage and garage only storage, is in great condition. Just don't find them like this very often at all. Custom-ordered Corvette Bronze on Saddle Vinyl. PS, NP disc brakes, N-11 exhaust, original luggage rack, 3.55 rear-end, M21 transmission.
Completely unmolested, zero rust. Birdcage fantastic. One repaint in 90's but is still exceptional with no fading, cracking, peeling, spider webs. Always garaged, very rarely driven. Brilliant deep shine. Only issue is on hood/fender. Very hard to see (from 3 feet or closer only) is about 2 feet by 1 foot of bubbling, looks like sand under paint. Has been there for 25 years. See pics. Other than that paint is honestly 9/10. I 100% would not repaint this car for a very long time. Chrome is all original (and luggage rack) and is exceptional. Rear bumper very slight scratches up close, no pitting or peeling.
Yes, engine bay is not "restored" it is as original as you will find anywhere. No aftermarket BS just all GM factory equipment in excellent condition. Even the air cleaner lid and ignition box are original, don't be fooled by the shine. I could easily buy new parts to look prettier, but it doesn't need them!
All #s match and original to car from block, heads, carb, intake, transmission, rear-end, etc. Just look at that original interior. Hasn't even been wiped down yet. Everything works (including wiper door, headlights, signals, all gauges and clock, even fiber-optics). Pioneer custom radio. Can’t find Delco. Original glass all around excellent. Door panels original and great with 2 tiny hairline cracks. Interior 9/10. Pics for serious buyers available.
If you know C3 Corvettes you likely know 1970 was the lowest production year. Only 4,400 big blocks were made that year. Only 1 big block option, the LS5, which is the most powerful 390hp engine they ever made and the LAST year of the high compression/hp/torque engine. Chevy only made about 1,000 454 manuals that year! And only about 200 of those were in Corvette Bronze. My favorite of all the colors, it's like none other. 427 went to 454 in 1970 and torque increased to 500 lb/ft. in 1970 from 460lb/ft in 1969.
This truly is the big block C3 manual you have been looking for. Has never left San Diego and has traveled just 67K total miles. I have registration back to 1977 to show ownership. Car is extremely original, has not been modifying or ruined with aftermarket BS. 427 went
ONLY things not original on the car are: Radio, Mufflers (pipes are original), Rally wheel caps and rings are new GM certified, License plate bezel (old was pitting), Front Air dam (orig was cracked slightly), that's it.
*Just installed restored Rallys, some pics have old wheels*
Just replaced RR brake caliper (stainless steel sleeves), rear pads R&L, new brake hoses. Front brakes were done at 65K. Tires are older but have about 3K miles on them, no cracking. Only issue is a minor leak from intake manifold, slow seep. Factored into price for sure. Front suspension is great, rear is older but still has life left. Open to PPI if you put down a deposit. Car starts, runs and drives amazing. No hesitance for long trips.
PLEASE, do not waste your time or mine with stupid low-ball offers. This is a very reasonable price for this car that with a little TLC can be a $40K+ car easily and will only increase in value. Additional pictures and info for serious CASH buyers only please.
