1952 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3800 Description

Offered for sale is a 1952 Chevrolet 3800, 1 ton truck in very good condition. I purchased the truck in south central Colorado and at that time it had a self made flatbed in rough shape. I removed the bed and made and installed a new wood bed. The six tires are in excellent condition. The "Smash Hit" grill guard which came with the truck is solid iron and was made in Waco, Texas. I installed a new clutch and throwout bearing and had the pressure plate rebuilt, the hydrovac has been rebuilt and connected it up. All the glass is new, heater refurbished, radiator flushed, had the vacuum wiper unit rebuilt and updated the wiper arms and blades. The original radio is working with new faceplate, knobs and push buttons. I refurbished the instruments in the dash and installed a new speedometer. The speedometer that was in the truck when purchased was not working and I believe the mileage on it was 62000. All instruments, lights, cigarette lighter, horn and turn signals work. The ignition switch is mounted on a handmade bracket attached to the dash near where the original switch should be installed. The seat cushions appear to have been refurbished and are in good condition. I installed the proper radio antenna and relocated it to it's proper location. Installed a new fuel pump and rebuilt the carb. All wheel cylinders and the master cylinder have been rebuilt. Replaced the electrical wires, installed a new interior mirror and installed two outside mirrors and arms. Replaced the glove box liner and gas tank sending unit. Replaced the transmission cover and installed a new rubber floor mat. Replaced the battery and battery cables. I had the exhaust system replaced from the exhaust manifold back. The replaced muffler has a series of small holes in it so I have a new Napa stainless muffler, not installed, to replace it. The electrical system is 6 volt and the generator and starter appear to be in good condition. The 6 cylinder engine which I believe is original does not smoke. I have done nothing to the engine outside of cleaning the exterior and adjusting the valves. I have not done much to the body except to fill some holes that were drilled by previous owners. Those I have sanded and primed. Have not noticed any serious rust on the truck. There was some rust thru on the floor where the floor meets the side kick panels and I found a couple of small pin holes in the cab corner on the drivers side. A previous owner has used some filler around the driver side headlight. It looks like a minor damage fix rather than rust as nothing to indicate rust is on the inside of the fender. I believe the body is quite solid. I have a 6v solid state ignition in the truck but also have the points and condenser on hand.Included in the sale are several manuals such as the owners handbook, factory assembly manual, radio manual, and wiring diagrams. I also will include hardware, parts that were removed from the truck, seals, etc and anything else I have that goes with or came off the truck. My reason for selling is a don't have the time to continue with the work required to get the appearance as I would like such as painting the interior and exterior of the truck. The truck has no warranty offered or implied and is sold as is. Payment will be cash on pickup or a certified bank check.

Added note: 13 April . After driving the truck today, I noticed it was a little slower on restarting after the drive. The reason I mention this is that it always has been a decent restarter and it seemed to turn over for a longer period than usual. Maybe I flooded it some or it could be the gas as it is a couple of years old. Ran well after.
