1975 Corvette Convertible Stingray V8 350-4v L48 165hp
1975 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Description
I traded this Corvette from a customer who purchased a car from my car rental fleet. I do not know much about old cars as I use late model cars in my fleet.I used it this summer for many small rides and really enjoyed it. She runs great, shifts perfect, really enjoyable ride. I may have done about 250 miles on it. She runs really great. Brakes are a bit inefficient but it may be because it's a old car or needs the rotors cut. It seemed to have gotten better over time. Before I could use it, I had to put a new power booster in. The passenger door stopped opening; I could not figure out what's wrong. Also, the drivers door works now, but did not all the time. You need to look at the hardware. Grease, adjust or it may need a new part. I don't know. Currently only opens from the outside driver side. The top fabric is damaged and needs to be replaced. New replacement kit is included. It's tan and not a cheap one. Front bow of the convertible top frame needs to be replaced. Corvette Central has it available for about 400$. Other than that, the top frame is functioning good and seems to be in good condition. Interior could use new carpet and seat cover, the dash and center console got painted white in the past by someone. Not a good job though; I would put it back in black. Center cap of the steering wheel is missing. As you can see in the pictures, paint is flaking off. Basically the car would need a new paint job if it bothers you. This vette has all numbers matching, we checked. It has all original parts. The headlights work and open but need a little help with the hand, but they try to open and close WD40 may fix that already. I have been told by the previous owner that he spent over 2000$ in brakes, tires and exhaust a bit over 2 years ago and never even picked it up from the mechanic. He owned the car for over 20 years so it shows on the title I received. I still have a copy of it. Mileage are approximate. I am not sure if the counter works the title says 83K.I have more pictures. You could pick up and drive this car basically anywhere. AC and radio does not work. But she does not run hot and drives pretty straight. Nothing loose. Plus I took it for enough small joyrides over the past couple months. Prior my using it I had a fuel leak by the fuel tank in the rear. I had the tank out and replaced all hoses in the back. I do not know the weak spot of the frame of the Vettes but I've been told this one is in really good condition. I made a close up picture of the frame before the rear wheel and it looks to be no issue at all. Also, the window frame upper part seems rust free. They say they are usually a pain. This one is really good.Corvette is for sale locally to so I reserve the right to sell before auction end. Please feel free to come in and drive it check it out before bidding.
