1973 Chevrolet Nova SS Description

1973 CHEVROLET NOVA SS HATCHBACK. TO START OFF WITH EVERYONE INCLUDING MYSELF WANTS TO KNOW RUST ISSUES. (PIC) TRUNK BY DRAIN PLUG SMALL SPOT,SMALL SPOT UNDERSIDE(PIC) AND SMALL SPOT ON FRONT FLOOR PAN. THAT BEING SAID, THIS WAS BOUGHT LAST YEAR FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER THAT HAD THIS SINCE BUYING IT NEW FROM HUDIBURG CHEVROLET IN FORT WORTH, TX.(TITLE STILL IN HIS NAME) STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL PLATES THAT IT CAME WITH. THIS IS A NUMBER MATCHING 350 MOTOR( THE VIN ON MOTOR MATCHES THE VIN ON THE DASH, 4 SPEED, FACTORY A/, CONSOLE AND GAUGES, TACK IN THE DAS, REMOTE MIRROR, PARTIAL VINYL TOP, 100,000 MILE CAR. THE ORIGINAL OWNER IN THE LATE 70s OR EARLY 80s (OWNER COULDN'T REMEMBER DATE) PULLED THE SAGINAW 4 SPEED OUT AND UPGRADED TO A BORG WARNER T10, ADDED HEADERS, SPREAD BORE HOLL, AND FRAME CONNECTORS . THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING UNDER A CAR PORT SINCE AROUND 1985,90. THE OWNER STATED THAT THE MOTOR WAS REBUILT LATE 70s OR EARLY 80s BUT BLOCK WAS NOT BORED, NEW RINGS NEW BEARINGS AND VALVE JOB WAS DONE. WHEN I RECEIVED THE CAR I CLEANED OUT THE GAS TANK, CHANGED FILTER AND OIL, PUT A DIFFERENT CARB ON IT, INSTALLED NEW PLUGS AND WIRING, NEW VACUUM MODULAR ON DISTRIBUTOR, NEW FUEL PUMP AND NEW FUEL LINES. TO SOLVE THE BRAKE ISSUES I INSTALLED A NEW MASTER CYLINDER AND RUBBER BRAKE LINES FRONT AND REAR I LEFT THE CAR AS MUCH AS I COULD ORIGINAL AS ITS A FLASH FROM THE PASS BEING SO UNMOLESTED RIGHT DOWN TO THE SEAT BELTS BEING IN THERE HOLDERS AT THE TOP OF THE DOORS THE TACK IN THE DASH WORKS AS IT SHOULD AS DO MOST OF THE GAUGES. THE HEADERS ARE HOOKED UP TO THE ORIGINAL EXHAUST THAT THE CAR CAME WITH AND HAS A NICE MELLOW SOUND. THE MOTOR RUNS SMOOTH AND THERE ARE NO LEAKS OF ANY KIND. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS RACED SOME BACK IN THE 70s AND HAD A 342 POSI FROM THE FACTORY. THE TAG IS THERE BUT BOTH WHEELS DO NOT TURN SO EITHER IT'S BEEN BLOWN UP BACK IN THE DAY OR CLUTCHES ARE BAD I DON'T KNOW. THE ONLY OTHER THING I DID WAS BLOCK OUT THE CAR AND THEN SHOOT IT IN THE ORIGINAL CODE 26 BLUE IN SATIN. YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES WHERE THE ORIGINAL SS STRIPES COME AROUND IN THE DOOR JAMS. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. THE CAR NEEDS TIRES AND A FRONT WINDSHIELD BEFORE DRIVING. NEEDS SEVERAL HOURS OF CLEANING. I HAVE A LOT OF CARS AND NOVA'S AREN'T REALLY MY THING. IF THE CAR DOESN'T HIT RESERVE I WILL JUST KEEP IT AND PUTT IT TO THE CAR SHOWS THIS SUMMER. I HAVE AN EXTRA PLASTIC DASH FOR THIS CAR BECAUSE THIS ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE BAD ON THESE CARS. NO LOW FEED BACK BIDDERS OR THEY WILL BE CANCELLED IF I'M NOT CONTACTED FIRST. 250 PAYPAL IMMEDIATE DEPOSIT AFTER AUCTION AND THE REMAINING BALANCE PAYMENT IS LISTED IN AUCTION DETAILS
