1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS Description

How do you like your 1968 Chevrolet Camaro? Numbers-matching V8? Super-slick paint? Pristine interior? How about all of this in one attractive package?Everyone can agree that the early Camaros, with their smooth looks and minimum of fussy ornamentation were awesome-looking cars. That's why the first generation Camaro is our hottest seller, and the design is the basis for the latest generation. But they don't quite hold the appeal that cars like this '68 hardtop does. When you look over this one, take some real time to appreciate how straight the panels are. We love how true they are, so it's a good sign of investment in maintenance and restoration. Another place we can tell there was time and money devoted to was in the paint. The red is quite slick, and the painted SS dual stripes make for a great coordinating package for the black vinyl roof. Complete with SS appearance badging on the grille, cowl induction hood, and ducktail spoiler, this one includes a lot of the right Super Sport touches. Plus, everyone loves those iconic bright Rally wheels. We all love black interiors in American muscle like this, especially when it coordinates so nicely with the exterior. This deep dark color is on the bucket seats, door panels, carpeting, headliner, and dash. The darkness is brightened up with chrome accents including the gauges, vents, and the Camaro nameplates on the door and the lockable glovebox. There are provisions for air conditioning in the GM's integrated Astro Ventilation system. All of these elements are in excellent condition, but what really catches everyone's eye is the center console. This factory option not only carries a distinctive wood grain, but it also has the iconic horseshoe shifter and quad gauge package. Speaking of gauges, just ahead of the three-spoke steering wheels is the deep dual pod setup that even includes the cool tic-toc-tach. The engine is this car's original numbers-matching 327 cubic-inch V8. When this was restored, you can tell there was special attention paid to keeping the small block looking both pristine and stock. Neatly detailed in Chevy orange with standard painted valve covers and a shiny Turbo-Fire style air cleaner, it's the kind of engine bay that gets appreciative glances from the real enthusiasts at the car shows. "Power" is a true buzzword in this car, and it goes well beyond the rumble of the dual exhaust. Power can also mean comfortable cruising with features like power steering and the Powerglide automatic transmission. Here's a numbers-matching '68 Camaro that shines like a ruby in the sunlight. Yes, this is a true gem that if you're quick enough, it can be the crown jewel of your garage. Call today!!
